Engine Mount Leaked

So my top engine mount looked wet so i decided to check if it was coolant as the bottle is just above put my finger on it only to be squirted with black liquid great. That means new engine mount phone up local dealer thinking it would be like 50-60 quid hmmm £153 including replacement locking nuts ouch.

Parts for cars are usually costly sometimes they are reasonably but not often it is something we have to deal with

being  motorist .

After much surfing on the net i find one made by bilstein for half the cost

Received the mount today looks exactly the same what i find abit odd is that there is a section on the mount where the partnumber is that ford use but it seems to be scratched out its sold as new and looks new. Only reason i can think is that maybe they are produced for ford by febi (bilstein) and its been scratched out on purpose.

I didn't know engine mounts contained black liquid.

Yeah its a rubber hydraulic mount
