Does anyone know why Ford have stopped installing the active shutter system in front of the radiator on a 1.5 TDCI Titanium X 2017 model.

DazW,

I think it is only the diesel model that they have stopped putting it in.
The reason I started looking at this is because my engine is taking ages to get to normal temperature.
I drive 11 miles and it is only half way on the gauge, do you think this is normal or anyone else on the site have any info on this.

I thought temps always only went to approximately half way.

Yes Mike it does go to half way, ( 90 degrees ) eventually but after 11 miles of driving it is only about 70 degrees with an outside temperature of 1 degree.

it is normal for the temps in a diesel to take a long time especially in low temps, this is another reason they fitted a pct heater so you can have warm air, my 2.0L diesel takes the same amount of time without using the parking heater i added, if i use it while driving from cold it warms up in about 5 miles
