Just got 1 of these a week ago and just found the ambient lights last night.  The only problem with them is that they are red and can't seam to change the colour.  I find this strange as every other light in the car is white or blue.  My OCD :? can't handle this so I wonder if there is a way to change the colour either through adding the switch from the titanium X if the wiring is behind the dash or a tweak on the wiring (I assume they are multi colour led's that change with the voltage).  Any info would be great.

just found this on Ask Tezza.  Looks like a few people would like to do it but might be a big job.

Never one to take the easy answer I decided to have a look to see if these can be retro fitted and how hard it will be. From what I can tell the switch needs to go in the roof centre console shown in pic.

As there is alarm cables in here I hope to find some spare connectors or cables in here as they may be on the same wiring loom (In the mk1.5 focus the wiring loom was often the same just things were not connected).   The first problem is how to take it off or has anyone taken it off to have a look and could post a picture of what is hidden within. The control would go into the bit circled in pic.

If anyone could help would be appreciated.  If anyone has a titanium x could they grab a pic of what they have so we can see the difference.

The overhead console is held in by clips no screws  :D if you open the glasses holder you will see the clips towards the back of the console

I doubt if you will have the wiring in place but its worth a look

The bit you have circled is were the switch would go 1723303 @ £90.08 (less sunroof & passenger air bag deactivation switch)

Here are the finis numbers for the multi leds

Foot well

LH 1750626 @ £20.16

RH 1750625 @ £28.43

Front doors (in handles)

RH  1743691 @ £28.00

LH 1743693 @ £28.00

In door pockets

RH 1743687 @ £29.46

LH 1743689 @ £29.46

In center console

1743690 @ £28.00

They do list a jumper loom for inside the front doors

RH 1706088 @ £14.00

LH 1706087 @ £14.16

Also listed is the loom for the overhead console @ £63.48 but i would need to know if you have sunroof blue tooth etc
