Fartpilot! - dare I ask? -
OMG - cant believe the knob thread is still ongoing.
-
Could be - or another possibility is that the 2.0L Auto (petrol?) is a model that is not usually put 'against the fence' for stock and they are winding down production ahead of J1 for the facelift.

That would be the 12 month parts warranty! Best keep them peeled - 8 months and counting

I'm looking forward to the warranty claim advice thread - good luck!! -
Sell whilst you have the chance gents - To think I only lost £10k in a year on my 2.0L Ghia TDCi.  Great car, but never again.
-
It wasn't a long term fix sadly, though no longer a problem - My company S-Type Jag is very quiet. Now who says Jaguars are rebadged Fords
-
Think that you need to lose the paranoia - for the £10 this costs dealer in parts its not worth trying it on. Its the pollen filter in the cabin you should be worried about 8)

"You may well think that, I couldn’t possibly comment."

Find the engine code on the VIN plate - let me know what it is and I will advise which engine (emissions) you have. Alternatively PM me the VIN and I will advise,

Great car - depreciation is abysmal though. Would definitely go the 2nd hand private route if I bought another one.

Fraid that thanks to the unique way the forum is funded, Mastertech has officially left the building. you may find him on focusowners.com

Hope so, but think it may be a little late for that now that the 'voting with feet' migration is complete. Just goes to show that complacency and strong-arm tactics are not always the best policy, no matter how popular a forum may appear. Just popped in to see if I could post in the 'cars for sale' section, but sadly not. Goodbye and good luck in awakening the forum guys  -
Go for it chap - you wont get any of this work for free. Seems a reasonable deal to me.

Might have known....
