I use the Jetex filter in my 1.8 TDCI Focus and have never had any problems. Give Chris at Carnoisseur South a call. Mention your a member of the FFOC and you should get a good price.

SteveTDCi replied to thec-maxstinks's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
We had a poorley C-Max on our fleet that would cut out. We were given a replacement car (ironically a Zafira) while the car was in for repair. Have you tried ringing Ford customer Services and seeing what they say ? -

GTi should be in the showrooms from Mid December to early Jan depending on your dealer. I wouldn't think the GTi will beat the RS though.

Buying secondhand C-max 1.8 zetec
SteveTDCi replied to MUNGOJAY's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
You don't (allegadly) get the full 36 month warranty with the Motorpoint Car. YOu get the statndard European waranty. Also the car will not be worth as much as a genuine UK car (even though there is no difference) -
Focus C-Max 2.0 TDCi Tuning Question?
SteveTDCi replied to charlie.'s topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
TBH I would get a good 10k under the belt before playing with it. I would say get a decent panel filter (if they do one) as it does make a difference - nothing majour but it is worthwhile. Chip wise, when Superchips finally release the bluefin for the c-max I would suggest you try it, I understand what you mean about reliability but chips don't mean increased wear all the time. My Focus was chipped with 10k on the clock and so for it has clocked 35k without a problem (now on 45k) lets hope I can get it upto 150k 8) -

Focus C-Max 2.0 TDCi Tuning Question?
SteveTDCi replied to charlie.'s topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
No Bluefin but its coming soon. I think Upsolute do a chip for the C Max giving 165bhp  -
As far as I know, There is a problem with the 1.6 TDCi and the CVT box There is a problem with the euro 4 1.6 TDCi (the only difference between the 2 are the Euro 4 has a partical trap in the exhaust) There is also a big problem with the engines for the 1.8 TDCi Focus I only buy the Euro 3's at the minute. We don't care about the drivers as its cheaper for us !
