  1. Try one thing, fill it up with diesel, RIGHT TO THE TOP then try driving it up the hill. We had a CMax with the same kind of problem
  2. I wouldn't worry, you get problems with all cars. Unless you start looking at dedicated forums the chances are you wouldn't no problems exist. I don't have a C-Max but I would reccomend the Dual AC, the blinds are handy too. The sony stereo ???? well it looks good, sound wise I don't know as I have never heard it, Steve
  3. The ford one makes the front quite aggressive looking, dropped on a set of 19's the C-Max would look great 8)
  4. and theres me thinking it is quite understated  if I see one I'll get a picture for you :D
  5. Sorry mate, I've only seen it in the pictures. I'd be tempted to go for the wolf concept stuff myself, www.wolf-concept.de
  6. 1/ The diesel is a good engine and would be quite good around town, however it would be hard to justify the extra outlay over the 1.8 petrol, have you tried the 1.6 TDCi ? 2/Yes I have and they are nice 3/I'd go for the dual zone air con, the sunroofs are always good to have, sometimes its nice to have proper air in the car
  7. YOu forgot the Max Flower sticker, I hear they give 18 bhp.....look out for the new Fast car one though rumour has it that it has been redesigned and will give 24 bhp when combined with a baseball cap
  8. Pioneer.... http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product ... ts_id=3078 Or if you just want to play DVDs and don't want the Navigation IVAD300RB - IVA-D300RB Mobile Media Station (near the bottom of the Page) http://www.edworthys.co.uk/edworthys/pr ... 20Products I'd put a post up in the ICE section, explain exactly what you want from the system and how much you want to spend, RObM the Ice guru will help you. And for the jumpers.... www.next.co.uk
  9. TBH I would invest in a proper DVD unit, you could buy something that sits in the dash and then have a monitor in each head rest, I'd PM AndyCCR and Audio one, I know it won't look factory but it would be better. You could even go for the Pioneer Unit and have SAT Nav for around £1400 + screens and fitting. Climate control.................nice toy and the dual zone is good on the C-max but if you ain't got it you won't miss it
  10. Nooooooooooo the C-Max is crying out for stick on bits. I'd dump the kids and get a nice Ice install
  11. If the car isn't built there is a good chance you can change the spec. You just need a helpful dealer.
  12. I think the C-Max does exactly what it sets out to do, it gives families a more spacious and practical car than the Focus. The dash is very good and TBH I think the Civic dash looks pants, they carn't even put the gear stick in the right place. Wheel wise 16" is the smallest 17" the biggest. And for mods go to www.wolf-concept.de
  13. We have a 1.6 TDCI on the fleet, It broke down 4 times, turns out the fuel guage was saying full but in actual fact it was empty. The dealer then "fixed" the car, well it then read empty when the car was full. As far as I know the car is now sorted but I'm not 100% sure what was replaced. Steve
  14. We said at the Westhill last time we went, which was about 5 years ago. We over looked the carpark at the front. Flights are now £250 for 2 people they were as low as £140 if we flew BA from Gatwick.
  15. Ford tend to register lots of cars in Jersey then bring them back to the UK most low mileage cars on ford dealers Ford Direct included are ex Jersey Hire Cars. I'm trying to get to Jersey for a short break over August Bank Holiday but it looks like its going to cost near on £600
  16. Its more like a crap design, which is why one of our company cars a 1.6 TDCi C-Max has ran out of fuel 3 times despite the fuel guage telling people the car was full. After about 5 weeks the dealer sorted the problem.....however the fuel guage now reads empty when the car is full.... Keep away from TORBAY FORD they are as much use as a chocolate teapot and they haven't grassped the concept of customer services
  17. I can find out for you, are you looking at fixed or detachible ?
  18. I'd disagree, If it wasn't for wanting the ovetaking power and the fact that I would feel I made the wrong choice I would say the 1.6 is better then the 2.0, the gearbox certianly is. THe 2.0 also suffers with a few problems, having said that I am in the process of rejecting a 1.6 due to it breaking down twice. (company car)
  19. Knowing ford, the answer will be no, if you want it you will have to pester them :(
  20. Just to add, we have a 1.6 TDCi Zetec as a company car (it lives in torbay and is used by a care home) last week it died, it just cut out and ground to a halt. The RAC were called out and couldn't get it going so it sits in torbay ford until next tuesday before they can tell us whats wrong with it. PS I have heard there was a recall on early 2.0TDCi's for something to do with the ECU..
  21. If it helps, the one I had on demo according to the trip computer averaged 39 mpg.
  22. Mine is the 1.8 TDCi but chipped and with a few other extras, I reckon on 150bhp at the mo. I doubt very much you will get 50, except on a long run. It was once publisised in the papers about manufactures over exagerating there mpg figures, VW was one of the worst.
