What if you could unclip the front face of the ST dials and clip them over the top of you're standard dials. The look will be there for converting. Has anyone had the dials out and noticed if they are uncliperble.

Archeci - Warwickshire Lad -&- damiengibson Thanks for the support. I hope the project goes well. Have to watch the pennies as well or Mr Morgage won't get paid. Any advice and tips for painting methods or fitting bumpers or removing for that matter. Would be greatly welcomed. But i have a bit of time. I want to make sure all bits are here and ready to fit before comencing with the job.

mikeyg1981 - Yes please, i would love to see it. I still have to get my bumpers painted as well. I do love the colour too. I was in two minds until i actually saw it. My zetec before was jeans.

S11nny - Thankyou for the link. The guages sorta worked on the zetec but not properly. The temperature guage was piggybacked off of the temperature in the main clocks. That was fine. The turbo was hooked up to the accelerator pedal switch and moved up and down with the revs... and the oil level needle was just pushed in tight so it always stayed in one place.

Is that you're ST i mean Titanium in the pic. It's well nice mate. How did you get around the twin exhaust issue. Being that the spare wheel recess would be in the way of the ST back box. I think you should leave the Titanium badge on as well just to be proud and not a "wannabee" but then, i am probably gonna do the same. I think the ST is the smartest of all the hatches out there.

I don't think the dials will work without remaping the computer, but... All i have to do is replace the dials front part with the front part of the original dials. I think it just clips off.

I just got the guages from a european ford site. it was 45 something for the guages surround and 90 for the other plastic bit that goes over the steering area. I also just got random cables that carried a 12 volt current and it was just a case of getting a wireing diagram for both the ST and my car.

I am going to convert my 1.8 TDCI Aquarius 5DR into a 1.8 TDCI Aquarius Ford Focus ST. I am going to fit the bumpers, wheels, mirrors and spoiler. Does anyone think i am being silly. I already got my cluster guages fitted and look like they work but not fully tested. Can anyone show me what it would look like in aquarius blue? I would be most grateful.
