  1. as long as ur not hurt and learn from the experiance
  2. seen a set of led rears on a mk 2.5 focus st yesterday and they looked smart.
  3. my car is 4 years old this december and at the last service, 3rd year service I was sold that I will need new discs and pads at my next service. when brakes need replaced, they need replaced, someone who stamps on the brakes all the time will need to replace them more often than someone who brakes progressivley, having said that its possible to warp a new set of disks within a few weeks and need to replace them not long after a new set being fitted, also its possible for a stone to get trapped behind the brake pad, causing damage to the pads and disks and again forcing them to be replaced.
  4. mines has come on twice, first time it was a faulty o2 sensor on the exhaust, which was fixed under warranty, and the 2nd time they said that my car needed a ecu software update and as my car was out of warranty it cost something like £80 including vat. both times my car was still running fine.
  5. the garage will offer money for you to part exchange your car for another, lets say for talking sake you paid £10,000 for your car a year ago, and lets say that you have paid off £3,000, which means there is £7,000 left outstanding. lets say the garage offer you £5,000 for your car which means there is a you still owe £2,000 this £2,000 will be added to your new car finance for the new car you buy, so lets say the new car is selling for £10,000 you will have to take out finance for £12,000. hope this makes sence. check the small print in your car finance, there might be a claus
  6. a new wiper blade should sort the problem out, you may find that the current wiper blade is eigher worn out, damaged or even just dirty.
  7. my 1.6 titanium 115 bhp used to give around 31-32 mpg, but after a pro tec fuel clean at its last service its now returning 37mpg, my driving style has also changed alot since training to become a driving instructor, so im not sure if this also has something to do with the increased mpg.
  8. i dont have a new mk2.5, tho im training to become a driving instructor thru the aa and my tuition car is a new 08 reg mk2.5 focus titanium and it drives just the same as the mk2. the mk2.5 is a great looking car
  9. mate my engine management light was on a few weeks ago and they done a ecu update, as my car was out of warranty i had to pay something like £80 for them to do it.
  10. rite its stopped doing it today! wonder how long it will last!
  11. Over the past week my car gearbox crunches/grindes when selecting reverse gear. it happens all the time and its started to do my head in, my car is a 2004 focus 1.6 titanium 115 bhp. anyone else have this problem? at the moment im training to become a driving instructor and the car im learning in is a 2008 new shape focus 1.6 100 bhp titanium and my instructor says that his does it every now and then.
  12. Hows the new vroom? Any pics yet?
  13. well got the car back, they said they had to run a update on the ecu.
  14. I dont really want to change my car again so soon, wonder if ford would sell me a warranty for my car, would rather buy a warranty than change the car. anyone know if this is possible?
  15. Got the car serviced on the 18th of April, and last night the Engine Management Light as come on, this is the 2nd time its been on since I bought my car back in 2006. The first time it came on it was just after it had been serviced, and the 2nd time its came on, again its just after ford as serviced it, Could this be a trend or just sheer bad luck. My car is out of warranty and I'm going to have to pay to get what ever it is fixed, Its in the garage just now, costing almost £80.oo including vat for 1 hours labour!!!!!!! Think its maybe time to chop the car in and get something thats cov
  16. nice one mate, good luck, ph me let us know how u get one :D
  17. That is the major drawback of the mk2.5 focus.
  18. Its difficult to explain, Ive never realy found the tivct engine to be all that great, fuel economy isnt all that great and you have to be over 3000 rpm before the power surge kicks in. I had a mk1 focus 1.6 zetec before I got my mk2 1.6 tivct titanium and I still to this day think the old mk1 1.6 zetec engine was better.
  19. Eigher a 1.6 petrol or 1.6 TDCI Focus Zetec 5dr
  20. As some of you know im training to be a driving instructor. Today I had a two hour lesson in the new mk2.5 focus titanium 1.6. Have to say it was a cracking drive, the bigger door mirrors are brilliant too, wasnt keen on the dash cluster with the speedo in it cos you have to look over the pupils left sholder to see if they are keeping to the 30 or 40 mph limits. I've got a mk2 titanium 1.6 tivct 115bhp and I think the mk2.5 1.6 100bhp engine is much better than the 115 1.6 tivct unit.
  21. bought the spoiler off ebay about a year ago canny mind how much it was, tho it was brand new in the box. my brother is a spray painter so i got it painted for free, hense how its just been fitted. as said above the washer hose has to be extended but all the bits n pieces were supplyed in the box fitting took about 20 minuets max.
  22. its a straight swap mate, got my st spoiler fitted to my titanium about two weeks ago, held on by 5 bolts and thats it.
