Sorry Pete its the key fob battery. Thats odd then because they told me at Allen Fords it would need reprogammeing Colin

Went to the car this morning pressed the remote to unlock the car nothing happened. So, went & got a new battery, asked if it all needs to be reprogrammed. Yes they said. So I got the book out turned the key to position 2 four times....waited for the beep...pressed a button on the key fob....beep came to say that its worked. No such look still doesn't work. Now if when I press a button & the beep comes does that mean transmitters ok in the key fob & the reciever's up the creek. If it does is that a warranty job as the warranty runs out next month.

Mines a 5 door.

I managed to clear mine using the reset button on the end of the stalk. {I think }

My 2006 Zetec Climates got the warning.

Mines a 06 & its just coming up tp 15,555. I've had the car for just a year now & done about 10,000mls. After 31 tank fill's, 1,277 litres & £1,216 on fuel I'm still loving it. :wink:

I would get it sorted ASAP. If its on all the time all it needs is it to cry wolf once & boom expensive

Since I've had the car I haven't been on any real long runs to stretch its legs so not sure what I get if i did. Going to fill up tomorrow with super uleaded again because we have a coupon to get 5p of a litre at Sainsburys. When I got the car it had only done 5614mls that was in January now its done 10,300ish.

Just had the low fuel light come on tonight. Trip 406.5 mls, MPG 37.7, AVE speed 23mph, 40mls left in tank. Thats using Sainsburys super unleaded, I dont think I will use that all the time because of the price. Most of the mileage was just doing a round trip to work of 18mls only had 2 longish runs of about 70mls each. I have a Mk2 Zetec Climate 1.6. 115.

I've got the 115 & the Ulitmate or Sainsburys 100 oct didn't do any better for me either. The long run down to Cornwall might have shown some better mpg but had to be canceled due to ill health. So it just pottering about & to work.

95 OCT from Sainsburys. Did try BP Ulitmate once but got a worse mpg so never tried it since.

Bought a set off ebay for £27.02 + p&p {£34.52 total}, so still a saving from FORD.
