an update from another site !?!?!? :twisted: Details are sketchy but the ultimate Ford Focus will use the 2.5-litre turbocharged engine from the Ford Focus ST but with much more power – expected to be around 300bhp. Modifications to the turbo, air filter and exhaust will place the RS in direct competition with the new Subaru Impreza STi and Mitsubishi Evolution. It is hoped the Ford Focus RS will also benefit from the addition of four-wheel-drive. If fitted it will give the fast Focus the tools it needs to fully harness its power and deliver it to the road.

The Focus RS is back! Bosses at the blue oval have finally given the hot hatch the greenlight for production and they’ve even released this teaser image to give us a taste of what’s to come. Following in the footsteps of other legendary Fords such as the Escort RS Cosworth and the original Focus RS, the new model will reach showrooms in 2009, with a concept version debuting next year. yep and didnt come off, i in the end massacred the handbrake to remove it, nothin a junior hacksaw couldnt handle.

Done it guys had to massacre the gear stick with a junior hacksaw but its on at last
