Hi all just wondered if the above was standard on a ghia 07 (mk 2?)? I am sure I read somewhere (in the brochure maybe..) that a focus "can" have one. Only wondered cause my choc melted a lil bit in the car, after turning on the air con to freezing i suddenly had a eureka moment and checked the glove box, it was normal temp, i.e. not cold. Just wondering if anyone has it or knows if the above is true or not. I seem to have every extra option but that one. Cheers! Red!

neuty - i am currently in talks with so called ford customer "care" The best thing to do is open and obtain a complaint reference number (i think that is the correct terminology) with them. Phone the general manager of your garage where the repairs were done and politely discuss the situation with him / her. Before you call try to jot dates and or times about the re-ocurring problem as well as stating the problem ref num. When customer care couldn't close my ref num they started talking to the garage and asked me to book the car into that garage again - they kinda did a 360 on me i.e. we

Hi Mike I used a samsung D900 phone when i first got the focus and it connected fine to the bluetooth unit and worked well until my samsung phone went bananas. I then changed to a nokia N95 phone, using that everyday now, it will connect most times automatically, Other times i have to turn the bluetooth (on the phone) on and off to catch the ford module. What do you mean by "are some mobiles better than others"? Do you mean the quality of the speech and so on? I found no difference, both phones were crystal clear. Hope that helps! Red!

hi mate I use Tesco value CD-Rs (mostly)and they work a treat (until they get scratched) never had a problem with any other branded CD-Rs either. Hope ye get it sorted! Red!

Hi FoxyFocus Keep your car you have done way too much it to it and it looks stunning. You'll get next to nothing back if you trade it in - you may get a gullable private seller but I'm afraid that's unlikely. I was gutted too - I lost approx 8-10k on my new 07 (July) TDCI 2.0L with nearly all the optional extras. And she's not even been serviced yet! Are you prepared to lose mega bucks and then spend mega bugs again when your new car loses value? Red!

Hi again AFApe. I did a quick test called my house phone from the car nobody was in to answer it cancelled the call with mode button radio station remained unaffected and returned to the same station i was listening to prior to the test In conclusion - everything worked fine for me BUT do i have a phone call conversation and end it with mode button to make it a proper test? That I still have to do. Real sorry to hear about your troubles mate. Red!

AFApe I will test that today and let you know my results Tho I must confess i immediately got into the habit of pressing the red coloured telephone button to cancel a call - maybe cos i have long arms? I assume it's gen 2 system, picked up the car last July. How do I find out what it is? So to hang up i will press the mode button and remember what radio station i am on!? Cheers! Red!

ha ha = i remember when i found the voice button and thought it was well cool. Me and a mate were trying to get the CD o play via voice command and started shouting "CD"! The woman's voice came back unrecognised command, please try again. So i put on my best pompous voice and said "CEEE DEEE". she said climate control now on = it was soo funnee I was almost ROFL I hope you have the bluetooth system mate it's a nice piece of kit when it works! Absolutely shocking mate. just shocking. I would never like to be treated like that from any car dealer. My sympathies are with you - I would simply go ballastic if this would have happened to me. It seems that you have sent us all a clear message. If your car breaks down in anyway get the AA to tow it and dump it at the nearest ford dealership?!?!? Hope you get something out of them soon!
