  1. I have the new ford branded 6000cd and it is indeed rounded off the same shape as the sony one, you will need a new surround one other thing to remember is that the new led colours are red and might look out of place against the old green colour
  2. Just to let you all know that thanks to madmp3 I now have the ford bluetooth kit fitted, I fitted it myself and I am only a IT tech what can I say it really is as simple as he said the hardest part is routing the wire for the mic! it is as easy as any other kit out there if not easier as there is no buttons to mount as it is controlled through the head unit/stalk controls. Does not even matter tht I have not got the voice button as the mode button does the voice now. again thank you madmp3 I am well chuffed
  3. The issue is to do with the new headunits, Parrot have had several complaints and are investigating the issues. (aparantly)
  4. Another thought is that have ford now put the head unit on the can bus? I guess this could be causing the issues? If they have does anyone have a idea of a work around?
  5. After doing some my trial and error work, I have found out that the settings for the volume are not saved after the ignition is turned off (yet all over settings seem to be saved) I tried swapping the orange and red fuse holder back as this was a suggestion by parrot and that made things worse, the lights stayed on after the ignition was turned off and the phone did not disconnect. Parrot also stated that the kit should stay on for a second after the ignition is turned off yet mine goes straight off. Does any one have any further ideas? as at this rate the kit is coming out and going
  6. yes did that, looked up on it quite a bit a thought it was easy ;-(, oh well, parrot uk are looking into the issue, one thing they did sugest was that either the polarity is incorrect (i.e. I did not have to swap them over) I will try this later. Or that Ford have either included a amp or are now using can bus for the head unit.
  7. I swapped them over and the kit does go off but there is a noise a bit like when you switch an amp off when it does go off, like a thud/pop.
  8. Right well I fitted my bluetooth handsfree (Parrot ck3000 evo) using a sot-92 lead the only problem I have is that when the ignition is switched of anf the parrot kit is turned off I get a noise if a phone is connected. any one else had this issue with connecting a ck3000 to the mk2 focus?
  9. I have the lockwood ones with the line, I am sure they go over the second lip, I'll take a pic when I get five minutes.
  10. The Parrot 3000 evolution is on offer at the moment from CarPhoneWareHouse only £80 including premium fitting. Think I am going to go with that. I did want it hidden as much as possible. see if I can get the control unit put by the heated screen controls
  11. Has anyone used one of these? http://www.parrot.biz/uk/products/parrotminikit like the idea of being able to move it in and out of the car.
  12. I have not contacted them yet, but wondered if any of the offerings from parrot or nokia could be hidden away and the head unit used to control it.
  13. I wish I ordered this as and option but I was not a flush as I am now (got a nice bonus) Can it be retro fitted, All I want is a handsfree that is very neat, dont really want additional boxs sticking out of the dash and would like it to work with the HU which has the phone buttons on. Or is there an aftermarket unit which would would with the HU with out and additional box. Thanks in advance Mark
  14. I was unsure at first when I saw it on fords web site, but it real life it is a lot better than the old 6000cd the rounded edges dont look out of place as the air vents, heater dials, spedo and rev counter are all round.
