  1. Nice one folks - I will have a good look at the screen and see if I can see any cracks.....
  2. quick q. My heated rear screen - 3 lines of the element don't seem to work when turned on - all other clear my rear window except for the lower 3 lines......is there anything I can do to fix/test it?? Don't really want the hassle of a new rear window for somethign that is not critical. any ideas???
  3. Stupid queston really but just want to check before I head out. Any ideas of the size of the crush washer for 1.4/1.6 Petrol? Planning on doing the oil myself and off to get oil/filter etc...just want to check if the washer is anything different or is it just a common one while I in the shop. Cheers
  4. Always wanted to do this. (illuminated ignition) Thought I would have to build/mod something myself - found it trickey and never bothered - but if there is an off-the-shelf solution - Happy days!!! :) I would be very interested
  5. If its for the front, then you can buy just the rubber, check out a post earlier in the forum - handy to do and saves a good few quid.
  6. I'd love the wheels ;) let me know the ebay code and if your willing to do a courier to Ireland ;) been searching for ages!! PM if you interested.
  7. bang out of order. Do not take any * * * * from them. If you do take something else from them you will never be happy (unless you get some serious, and I mean serious discount - but still think it will nag)..
  8. I'm going to try changing my oil myself for the first time!!! Borrowed a mates oil vacuum thingy. Probably use it to drain most of the oil and then open the sump for the last bit. (saves me destroying the driveway hopefully) Don't have axle stands etc.. so hopefully access to sump/filter won't be too difficult! Any opinions on that???. Going to see what oil is about in local motor factors/supermarkets/Ford etc.. for best price. (only getting something decent though)
  9. Before you get it done by a dealer, if you got it from owner then the code should be in the manual (which would be in with car/service manual holder) or else there will a sticker stuck on the radio.. Just give the owner a shout, should be willing to help. Frwoned upon as people buying stolen radios I guess.
  10. Also, point out what wheel size they have! :D
  11. I'm going for a set of Sportracs for my next tyres.
  12. just out of interest - why do you need to connect it to the handbrake?
  13. soooooooo jealous.....collection only :(
  14. Am in the middle of a DIY service. I have replaced the pollen filter (nightmare). In the process of cleaning my K&N filter. Have rotated the tyres. Mate from work is loaning me his oil vacuum, and will get the oil and filter. Pads are in good condition so no need for anything there. Only issue I have and maybe someone on here can help.....my handbrake is not so hot!! first 4 clicks don't stop the car, 5and 6th do but not very well. So has anybody tighten their handbrake correctly on their MK2 and would like to share the method.???? Apart from that all bases covered for a ro
