  1. Well done mate, £50 sounds like a bargain. That would have been on my list of things to do. My car has been converted back to an LX as it goes back this week - 52k miles in less than 2 years aint bad...
  2. Just checked, mine is the Armster brand armrest, as seen here: http://www.armrests-uk.com/catalog/prod ... cts_id=412 Hope this helps...
  3. Cheers Mikey, although my armrest is an aftermarket one :D. Never got round to getting the original ford one.
  4. That's not bad at all, the painted price looks decent too, fairly easy DIY job I'd imagine to swap the bumpers over.
  5. Okay, maybe not huge news but my 06 Focus just hit 50,000 miles today :D Wanted to share my excitment! It's 2 years old in the middle of March, going better than ever not single problem with it to date (except the bonnet lock  )...
  6. The lights only flash on the second lock to confirm that the car is deadlocked. When you click the lock button once you don't get ANY visual indication that it's locked - if it's quiet around you you'll hear the locks click. The second click of the lock button deadlocks & flashes the lights. I've just got into the habbit of clicking lock twice all the time to ensure it's deadlocked. I'm sure there's a logical reason to do it this way.
  7. There's just one screw for each headlight. It goes into the hole at the back / top of the headlight unit into the beam across the engine bay. It's easier with a picture but I think there's only one place it will go. With the bonnet open and looking at the headlights from the top you'll see a plastic arm running away from the headlight toward the back. On this arm you should see a hole that will line up with another hole in the cross beam that I mentiioned. The big silver screw goes here. Mine is going in on Tuesday as I need to get my 50k mile service done too before the car goes back nex
  8. Can't remember but I think you can get them on ebay for about £4 (just the blade, not the flip part of the key).
  9. i was 78.72 to get the key programed but cant find my receipt for getting the key blank pre cut from ford as thats how they sell them they will need your key number to get it done . or as naj says above you can buy them and get them cut your self but the key needs lazer cut  I bought my key off ebay as a key blank and had it cut by Ford's. They charged about £8 for the cutting and can't remember the charge for programming but it was about £60 ish.. Definitely less than £80 IIRC.
  10. Yes you can buy the keys separtaley, think thye're about £50-£60 from Ford, then you need to get the blade cut and key programmed for the car. The programming cost varies from dealer to dealer but costs about £60 too. Seen keys on ebay go for about £40-45. I've got an LX  and have bought the flip key which works fine and looks fantastic :D
  11. No worries, it does look smart, especially with your alloys, the tints and the vinyl work. Looks better than it did on mine.
  12. Thanks guys... Nice car, vantheman1blue. Post some pics when you've had the car washed :D Let me know about the grille  ...
  13. yeah the ford (a decent one not the one you went to  ) dealer sell it as a kit new switch , new fog surrounds , fogs and bulbs or get them from ebay or http://www.ford-shop.com/acatalog/Ford_ ... yling.html As my car is going back soon I'm selling lots of bits from my Focus (including the Fog light kit). Have a look at my post in the For Sale area...
  14. I used Mikey's instructions and it took less than 1 hour (cheers mate!). When I originally asked Ford they also said that it wasn't pre-wired.
