  1. Yup i get this too but am not impressed at all with the way the car bogs down dangerously when pulling out of junctions etc! mines a 1.6 tivct aswell which is putting out 115 psi according to ford so if we deduct 10psi or so to allow for when the ac is switched on we are still left with 105 psi. Now if we were to drive the normal engined 1.6 focus with 100 psi output with the ac switched OFF im pretty certain it wouldnt bog down dangerously like this every time we pull off. So although ac does drain some power from the car i dont think this is acceptable and i view it as a serious problem with
  2. I take it that you mean the Focus st and not the mondeo st220 ??? The focus st is available all the time in orange check out fords website car configurator

  5. subaru wrx 2.5 are available for 15500 online :?:
  6. yup soft wallet in the door pocket can easily accomodate 15-20 cds without cases. thats what ive done EASY
  7. ahha ok i know exactly what you mean ! I also have this problem on uneven road surfaces i get a rattle from both front seatbelt mountings / housings . Really annoying isnt it kind of detracts from the pleasure of driving a brand new car when its rattling like an old p reg mondeo taxi .
  8. patience is a virtue you know could you live to regret this decision me asks ???
  9. yup ive got it too be keen to know if it gets sorted
  10. This is a question that pops up a lot isnt it ?To run in or Not to run in? Why dont manafacturers give us some info on this when we buy the car I mean they must know more about the capabilities of their engines better than anyone else how hard would it be to get the salesmen to tell you or even put instructions in the handbook
  11. Yes ive got this problem too but my cars a 1.6 ti vct i also thought it was an obstructive synchro but our gearboxes must be different so hope mines just the linkage But strangely as you say it does feel worse when its cold ???? wouldnt of thought temp would have affected the linkage ???
  12. Ive had both the old 1.6 zetec 100psi and now this the new 115 ti-vct I have found both these engines pretty similar on fuel consumption achieving 27 - 30 mpg on mainly town driving and 37 - 40 mpg on a good run. power wise in my experience there is quite a bit of difference the 115 seeming much nippier round town but the difference is even more evident on the motorway, i always found the old 1.6 particularly gutless in 4th & 5th at 60 - 80 mph kinda speeds. The new one seems to pull a lot stronger at these speeds its no raod rocket mind but in my opinion a much stronger engine
  13. ive got this engine too, I dont have the oil consumption problem so would suggest a trip to the dealer But i also have the heavy fuel consumption and it doesnt really seem to make any difference how you drive it - 26 - 28 mpg for mainly town with some dual carriageway and some motorway driving
  14. We know the st outperforms the gti and i think it looks better too wot do you think rear front interior
  15. is it just me or does that tonic coloured focus have good colour match on the bumpers ??? that would be a first
