Yup had a 1.8p then got a 1.6p noticed about 5mpg gain by having 1.6p....... In the end covering 250+ miles a week just for work got a 2.0D easy gets 55mpg + on a run.

The set up you have is correct I have this also! If your keyless entry fails, you remove key blade from key holder remote and unlock like you would on a normal car. Similarly on your ignition barrel there is a cover you remove and inset key blade. The passive buttons are for when you exit the vehicle you press the buttons twice to deadlock and if you hold only the drivers button it will lock all the doors. To open the vehicle you just open any of the door handles and it will unlock all doors and steering lock. There is no need for the keyfob in your hand, remains in your pocket or bag.

The set up above is correct. You should have passive buttons on drivers and passengers handles. Only a key lock on drivers side as pictures. It may have been missed at factory. So dealers have added key lock. To remove the cover as you say, open the door inline you will see a cover, remove this and you will find a torq screw behind, undo this and the cover will come, off. Can be a pain to fit back, best to leave alone, The cover on passenger side will not so a keylock as it hasnt been fitted.

I agree with your response. A brand new car with 11k on the clock with conti's on should need changing 9.5 months later, at least 18-22k on the clock. Conti sport contact 2, defo too soft for the car. Thats all motorway driving! So a falkin or nexxen will do. I think were forgetting 80% of zetec models have hankok tyres fitted today. It's how budget do you want to go? Also how many taxi's do you get in that have top spec tyres?

Tell me about it! Replacing 18inch tyres is mega expensive! Quote so far budget for( 2 )x Endruo £135, to falkin £185, going for nexus i think for £150, anyone else had this problem. Replacing conti's is out the question £120 a corner no way! Stick to putting on Zetec S 17inch! Personally with the 205 wrapped around gives it a wider look anyhow, the 18's are nice and easier to clean i will say, you're always protecting your rims from kerbs, and replacing tyres ouchhh!

Yes Thanksjollyandy, When I've finished home decorating I will add this mod! It's just silly there's not enough sockets! I've seen another socket location also, but do not know whether there's a loom there already! In the CMAX at the back of the arm rest, the panel that clips on has a socket there. Is the focus and cmax loom the same?

Yes certainly does! Can you upload some pictures! Sounds like SAT NAV power to me! I have exact same car, v.impressed! I done a boot 12v outlet mod! Makes life easy when pumping up tyres.

I removed the gear stick giater to have a feel underneath! There is a hole there ready for putting in the 12v outlet. So im hoping that the loom is behind, I'm thinking of running it up to the dash glovebox(titanium), just a case of a new outlet, just have the lid open to put in the sat nav as you say.

BigR_Focus, Correct in armrest I have power outlet as you say. On console I do not have a point, as power button is there. My friend has power outlet in the ashtray, thought maybe a simple mod. Np, Is there anyway to remove the lid.

Firstly. I do not have a 12v outlet, my friend has a ST and he does. Made same factory same time, january this year. Im sure I have the loom behind. I remember this being a CC ASHTRAY mod in the past. Question is can I retrofit this. See pics below. I also have a TDCI badge I want to mount, but wish to take off the faceplate and measure it properly. any help appreicated. Thanks.
