  1. Well after all the thinking about the C-max. I went for the Mondeo Titanium X 2.0TDCI. Nice motor. :D
  2. That's true Darren. I had this engine in my old shape Ghia model and 3 door Zetec. MPG was sound also the power back then seemed well quick at the time.
  3. I like my Astra even though it's a small car. The seat is very low down and that give's you loads of front leg room. A bit like the ST170 did. I would like a Zafira but we don't have them in stock anymore, We are still trying to sell loads of the old shape model's. It was a struggle yesterday on the way up to see our Horse. Saddle and feed bucket in the boot, aswell as the kid's boot's etc. And now with it being summer i will be doing that trip every night after work. Here is a pic of the Astra. It was a bit cold when i took the pic.
  4. The Vectra's are NO good. I'm 6"4 and the seat doesn't seem to go low enough or the steering wheel high enough for me to get in the right driving position. That's what i wanted to start with. Loads more front leg room in the Astra. Still like the idea of the C-max. Might be because you still don't see many of them around. Still waiting for somebody on here who has a 1.8TDCI to let me know about the MPG and engine torque. Regards Ross
  5. Don't get me wrong i love the power of the CDTI. I used to think the 2.0TDCI was fast. To be honest the Astra is the best company car i have had. But i do drive it a little to hard. And i think a slower car might help me out if you know what i mean.
  6. Hi Mr Sno. I have had the ST170 and the New shape 2.0TDCI(well fast). I do like a quick car. But like i said the Mrs is moaning. And to be honest i don't blame her. This Astra is very small and the boot can't even fit a week's worth of shopping in it. I always thought that my old shape Focus 1.8TDCi wasn't that slow, But can imagine in the C-max it would slow it down quite alot. I also must get at least 40mpg.(ST was a mad 3 months of fun). Thanks for the fast reply
  7. Hello all. I have had 3 old shape Focus and 2 new shape one's, I work for a large car hire company so get to swap my car on a regular basis. We have just taken delivery of a few C-Max Zetec 1.8 TDCI's. Can any of you give me advice on these engine's. I had them in my old shape Focus and thought they was great. But how do they compare in the C-max. I have been reading this forum but not many of you seem to have the 1.8 TDCI. I love the 2.0 TDCI in the new shape. Wish the C-max we have would have had that. I currently drive an Astra Sport Hatch SRI CDTI 150ps and i love it, But with 2 kid's and
  8. I've had loads of Focus new shape and old. OLD SHAPE. Better looking I thought. Better dash. Better feel on the road. Steering felt smoother. Better quality button's...window and mirror button's etc. Better seat's. I thought more leg room, Front and rear. More storage compartments. Having had a few diesel's in this shape and a ST170. I loved all of them. Favourite was a 54 plate 1.8TDCI GHIA. NEW SHAPE Not as common. Very smooth ride. Larger boot space. Better wipers A more grown up feel to it. Make's you feel like you are driving a bigger car than what it is. Cup holders are not very
  9. I've got 1500 mile's on the clock and getting 45 mpg. Not that bad.
  10. It's an LX with Alloy's and front fog lights. I would have had the Zetec. You then would have had the trip computer. But it's still a nice car.
  11. Mine is a company car...2.0 TDCI Ghia.. :D I'm on about my 3rd new shape model. Had about 4 old shape one's.
  12. Yes it does. Comfort one is very light, and make's life easy while parking.(Mrs has it on this setting when she drive's) Standard....Is just what it feel's like..STANDARD Sport....Firmer at speed's. But still easy to park with. I always have it on this setting. But as i've stated on my other thread...I liked the old shape steering better.
  13. I've had this on both of my diesel's. You have to click on the settings screen. Then steering setup. Comfort Standard Sport I have mine on the Sport. Didn't have the option's on a petrol one i have driven.
  14. Thanks for your comments Andy. I noticed in the handbook that it showed you the bottle was under there. But it also say's top up is not necessary?? :D But i'm glad you agree on the lack of feel compared to the old shape. I loved the feel of my old TDCI Zetec and even better the ST170. Getting used to this one now. 8)
  15. Very nice mate. I have the ghia and i hate the standard alloy's. Looking good.
