Hi Wonder if you can help me, had a problem yesterday. Tried to get into my car by remote lock, no response. Thought it might be my battery in the key fob. Tried my spare (I paid for a 2nd remote), still no response. Put the key in the lock and opened the door, bipped for a few seconds and the alarm went off. Put my key in the ignition and started up. Switched off and then it all worked again....Anyone had the same problem?

Could somebody please tell me what are the correct tyre pressures for front and back tyres for my TDCI 2.0 Ghia

I drove up an hill yesterday. engine cold, and the brake pedal was very difficult to press down, in fact nearly crashed. Switched off and on again and the problem seemed to fix itself after a couple of goes. This morning it did it again, but once moving okay again. Have taken the car to my dealer to sort. Anyone had similar probs. my car 2Litre TDCi ghia

Went to the ford garage told them about the mpg problems. They re-programmed as they called it under the warranty. Now getting around 40 in town, more on the motorway. the mpg actually moves more often now, before it took ages for it to move even one notch. thanks everyone for the helpful advice

Thanks for your help guys. I would be lost without this forum..I am going to book it back in and seriously complain about the mpg and will ask them to upgrade the ecu. (thanks simon) I will also give it a try with the mpg test as stated by moondust . thanks for that info I really love my car, its the best one i think i have ever had. Hope the fixes work for my car.

I will check regarding the grey haze tomorrow. If it is doing that, is that a problem? I dont know if the trip computer is accurate. How do I know? Thanks Moondust for replying. i filled up before going on my trip and it said 340 approx miles before empty.

been on a motorway run did 70 miles one way, 70 miles back. jumped to 34.7 mpg. Should i take it back. Is there anything they can do, ie re-tune it or something so it consumes less? Is that a possibility?

Had the software fixes 0424 software, had the recall regarding the Limited EPB Facility. My 2 litre TDci is currently doing 32/33 miles per gallon. Have not taken it on a motorway run yet, but feel like i have been robbed! :( Dont get me wrong, i love driving the car and the power it has especially in 5th gear on the motorway is excellent and 6th gear but surely a diesel engine should be giving me more? a work colleague has a passat and his does 40 in town and 50 on motorway...I bought my cmax 2nd hand. i got in touch with the previous owner who told me that he replaced it with a brand

Thanks Tim I liked the focus and so did my kids. They called it helen and will be upset when we have to trade in but they have already called the cmax, Bernard!!! :D I am collecting the car from motorpoint of burnley, but the car was delivered from Derby. I rang Ford today and they said that I need to get it serviced as it has not had one. Luckily its only done 11300 miles so is below fords recommendation for servicing. they said that it went to a ford dealer in feb 04 for some electrical issues which i guess must have been sorted.....

thanks for the reply. What does ECU mean? I have purchased the car but i noticed when i switched it on it said "limited EPB facility or somethning to that effect and i did notice that it was bought at an auction and the reason at the bottom said excessive fuel consumption. I have looked at the sticky with the updates that i need to take to a ford garage. It has no service history so the first thing i am going to do is bring it to a ford dealer for a service and tell them to put the latest software fixes on the car. Any advice would be appreciated. Do I just bring the sticky information
