True..but the article states that most of the panels have changed indicating that it is a tad more than just a slight revamp. If that is the mk3 there wouldn't be any point in doing a mk2.5 facelift as it would only be around for a few months. Also, the mk3 isn't scheduled for release until late 2009 IIRC...

I take it as being the mk2.5 as it is being released late this year.....whereas as the mk3 is still some way off yet.

That's probably how the ST is going to look. That certainly isn't a basic looking car....it's obviously been made to look sporty-ish with the Xenon's and deep front bumper etc etc

The front isn't too bad, but not keen on the rest tbh. As mentioned above, the rear quarter is very 'Astra' looking...which isn't entirely surprising given that Ford poached the guy that penned the Astra. That didn't go unnoticed... :wink: Also the fact the pics show the car as both left and right hand drive and are obviously just mockups. TBH, I'd take those pics with a pinch of salt. There have been other pics posted of the mk3 which look nothing like that......only time will tell I suppose... :lol:

Any new kits for the ST in the pipeline? They seem to be pretty thin on the ground unfortunately... :cry: The Stoffler kit is pretty common, but the front skirt is just awful and looks so out of place it defies belief......the rear diffuser is quite nice though.

Looks great....much better than the standard chrome jobbies... :P

Well....if it looks anything like the new mondeo I'm buying my ST as soon as possible... :shock: IMHO, the new mondeo is a vile looking thing... :cry: The custom one they built for the bond film looked quite nice, but apart from that....Ewwwww.... :lol: As above, the pics I've seen so far are simply the new mondy not the new Focus... :?

Is that why the diesels have an engine bay cover :wink: I shouldn't suffer from that one then. You won't have that problem anyway given that your car is a diesel... :wink: I'm on about the washer jets :? Maybe I misunderstood the problem? If the washer jets are leaking and dripping onto the plugs and leads which is causing the misfire....then as your car is a diesel (with or without an engine cover) you aren't going to experience misfires etc even if the washers do leak...

Looks super minty... :P Never been a fan of that kit, but looks great in black as it doesn't have that 'tacked on' look compared to seeing it on other colours. Looks spot on.....well done fella... :wink:

They aren't massively darker, but the difference is certainly very apparent. Oh well....not to worry... :lol:

Excellent...:wink:...would be interesting to find out as the VW windows are definitely darker. Not by much mind, but they are certainly darker.

I'm still not sure what level the Focus windows are tinted to. I always thought they were already at the legal limit. However, one of my collegues has a new Passat 2.0 TDi and the factory tints on that are noticeably darker than the ones on the Focus... :?

I'm waiting with baited breath as well. I'm seriously considering buying a new ST3, but want to know if the ST is getting a facelift or not first. It might end up looking even worse than it does now, so I'll be buying it sooner rather than later if that's the case! :lol:

Was talking to someone about this today...seems that build quality problems on the mk2 are more widespread that I thought... :wink: Not sure if it's more common on specific models or not though... :? Saw a really nice Golf R32 again today.....got me thinking again about what my next car is going to be... :? :lol:

Will have to look out for this when I'm looking at MK2's. Is the problem that the dash is out of place, or is it that the door card is out of place?.....if that makes any sense. Would have thought that the mouldings for both would be exactly the same throughout the foci range so it seems odd that some are dodgy and some aren't... :?

FocusFonzie....car looks mint... :wink: I agree about Sea Grey suiting the new Focus...makes it look really classy. I'm probably going to be ordering an ST3 in the new year (still deciding between an ST3 or an Astra VXR) and I'll be getting it in either Sea Grey or Panther Black... Anyone know if cruise control is going to be an option on the 2007 spec ST's? Can't believe it isn't an option just now given how much Ford are charging for the ST's... :roll:
