have you tried disconecting the battery , a freind had a similar thing his bluetooth and sat nav went the same he disconected the car battery for a few minutes when it was reconected it set up fine.

my brother inlaw just had his 55 reg mk2 o/s door mirror smashed off , he's got one off ebay and asked me to fit it ,ive done my mk1 (easy job ),is the mk2 a similar job just by removing the small panel on the back of the mirror then unbolting the mirror from the inside or do i need to remove the whole door panel.

if you had a keyless handle on both sides now 1 side has a key hole ,then i recon somebody has swapped it at the garage, my mk1 has got keyless covers which i fitted, they would have to remove the interior door panel to remove the cover. go back and ask why , maybee a dodgy mechanic thought you might not notice and he took it off for his own motor :shock:
