  1. thanx guys, will look into buying 1. summer is coming soon so shouldnt be too much dubs for a while
  2. my mates celica had a plastic cover on the underside of the car, bellow the engine bay. it stopped dust and dirt getting into the engine. would this be available for the mk2 focus? thanx.
  3. pics? bigbeere, thanx, i love my cars new look. its getting treated to some resprayed sills next due to rust!!! and also need a door resprayed and an arch filled after some1 did a runner.  made sure that side of the car was out of the pics.
  4. thanx guys. the 30mm eibachs are still in the boot. the arches look a lot better now tho so im worried that the 30mm will be a little too much now  or am i being a bit silly?
  5. ok guys...its been a busy weekend. after 250 miles driven this weekend ferrying the gf and her mum to and from the hospital and spending the best part of the day there, i found enough spare time to buy the set of st220 alloys, as recomended by Diackst170. i love them. before: after:
  6. i think 38 is about the lowest u can go on the focus. from what ive heard they should fit fine. pics?
  7. there are locating holes on the door and pins on the strips that go into the holes. the strips come with a sticky back on them. just peel off the tape and stick em on.
  8. my 5 door was 58£ for the strips, £60 to get them spayed and fitted. they just peel off, they are stuck on well tho. need to get a plastic scraper behind them and lever them off to start it off. the glue that gets left on the car is hard to come off aswell.
  9. i can guess. i also guessed the polaraty, but i got lucky, no blown fuzes :D shame the wires are all black, no clues to the polarity of them.
  10. looks great zetecste. got it on mine and looks much better than the standard "spoiler" well worth it.
  11. ok, just noticed the offset is 35. that wont work will it? any similar alloys that'll fit better?
  12. im fairly sure i'll end up buying those. but cant really afford them with decent tyres from that site. would i get good tyres cheaper somewere else?
  13. ive tried a few different places for petrol, i find bp gave me 2mpg more than esso/shell does. but bp is usually 2p more a litre tho. so im guessing some petrol burns better than others??
  14. ooh, i like them too. think ill be ordering the alloys in 2 weeks, when my bank balance allows it. not completely decided on a set yet tho.
  15. i like these: http://www.alloywheels.com/product.asp?P_ID=1678 wot u think?
  16. if ssmillso doesnt want the st220 mondo alloys then pm me the details. might be interested.
  17. how about these, very rare, and now discontinued  http://www.ffoc.co.uk/modules.php?name= ... c&t=209705 over budget but sooo nice! ill have to have a think about it. :?
  18. same as what ive got just now, but i dnt think ive got the centre cap. :) this search for new alloys isnt going too well at the mo. looking for 5-10 spokes, mabie more. 17" tyre package included black would be good i think, but they dnt need to be black. 600£ spending limit :?
  19. I managed to get 40mpg over a full tank in my ST with CR using super granny mode. :o WTF? if u get 40mpg from an st....i should get 60mpg from a 1.6, wot am i doing wrong?
  20. peatsie, u going to the aecc car thing at the end of may???
  21. i notice that every time i get a new car the mpg slowley goes up over the first few weeks as u get used to the car. i got 43mpg in my 1.6 zetec this week :o was being extra light on the throttle tho.
  22. havnt got a pic, but i just put the jack in 1 of the elastic things at the side of the boot. if some1 has got their jack to fit under the space saver then i might try again.
  23. yeh when u put a space saver in u need to remove the polystyrene bits and the boot floor will be flat, but the wheel bolt wnt fit so yeh, it could jump about, i havnt noticed it doing so tho. also the jack wnt fit under the space saver, i put the jack in the elastic strap on the side of the boot wall.
