focus550, thanx. remember the test drive. i thot it was faster than my mk1.5, which i now know to be the same bhp, but mabie i thot it was faster cz i was convinced it was a 115ps? ill see what other people know and if any1 in the north east of scotland is selling a focus. 1.8 or 2 litre. 8) a remap could take me up to the bhp of the 115ps i thot i had...would cost me 400£ tho and insurance wouldnt like me.

ok so in june i bought my mk2 after i wrote off the mk1.5 (rip) at the time i was told it was the 115ps version of the 1.6. today i was in another topic and seen a pic of an other focus engine bay....wich was the 100ps...and it was the same as mine. so i bought a 1.6 believing it was 113bhp (ish) and its only really 99bhp. needless to say, im pretty p***** off. the little extra power from the 1.6 was the only reason i didnt continue looking for a nice 1.8. theres nothing i can do is there? im tempted to just go ahead and sell the focus and find a 1.8 or a 2litre. depressing rant over l

looks like my engine bay. i was told i was buying a zetec climate (115ps). i might of been had! mines an 05.

my mk2 dials are out 3mph. used the average thing to find that out. also i went past a thing that flashes your speed at you, it said exactly the same as the average thing.

hmm - that cant be good for the engine? although it would probaly save wear and tear on the clutch. think an engine is more expencive than a clutch...better do it in 2nd :lol:

i might need a 6th gear...3500 revs at 75mph. same engine as ezman.

ouch, insurance all the way!!! insurance will sort everything and if it aint good enough u can send it back to get fixed again. sent my mk2 back (yes, i crashed 2 focus' in a year) and got the paint matched as it was a bit poor when i got it back and they sorted all other little things i wasnt happy with, but i regret accepting there work on the door, its way off. im tempted to pay to get it fixed. make sure everything is perfect before accepting it! hope u get it all sorted soon, i hate seeing cars damaged. i was parked in a pc world car park and returned to find ide been the victum of a

ruddy hell, i crashed my mk1.5 and i was a lot worse than that, air con, steering collum, alloys, bumper, bonnet, radiator. and it came to around 3.5k, ur car looks way better, looks like just a bonnet,grill, headlight and a bumper from the pic. through insurance everything will be sorted garanteed, dnt cut corners.

bigbeere, I dnt think you can, they get a bit bent cz they are stuck on really well. also they are textured so would need sanding before priming and painting. better off buying the primed strips from ford. i was 60 to buy my strips for my 5 door. then 60 to get them painted and fitted, was worth it tho, looks great.

Mine's the handling, and the second fave part has to be the computer which i cant stop fiddling with.

Foxta, bigbeere, to take them off you need to peel them from the outside, they are stuck on with a glue and the pins are only to locate them in the right place. had my door strips colour coded, was 60£ for the strips (came primed) and then another 60£ to get them sprayed and fitted wouldnt advice spraying the textured ones, and they get bent when you peel them off. richyharrison04, thanx for the info. so far ive got the spoiler and colour coded the door strips, the rest is waiting till spring.

richyharrison04, how much did it cost u to st rep it? and remapp? so far ive done the st spoiler and colour coded the door strips, leaving the st bumpers and skirts till spring. then the springs and alloys :lol:

as it says in the tittle, ive got a mk2 focus 1.6litre vvti (115ps,113bhp) does a mk2 2 litre airbox fit in it and should i expect any gains if i fitted it??? thnx in advance

my focus rubbed on full lock after i got it back from an insurance job, just mention it to the garage and they will fix it free of charge. mine went back in to a wing respray, wheel alignment, steering wheel adjustment, door and bumper adjustment after i got it back from getting sorted. if it wasnt rubbing b4 the accident it shouldnt be rubbing now. take it back to the garage asap and tell them.

Ive got the 115ps 1.6. im hoping the k&n filter has added 1 or 2 horses, lol.

got the same planned for my 1.6...i'll call it the ST115 :P

HighlanderUK, k&n filter and jvc dvd player is what ive done so far. colour coded the door strips too. st spoiler on the way, then dono wots next after thats on, theres so much i wana do.

got the car fixed up, it went back in and came out with all the things ide pointed out fixed. now im going ahead with some mods :D

thanx Anto, thats exactly the chart i was after. i found it before but forgot where i got it. it wont be too different to my car (before superchip). just want to see the power band, thats all. the power band is the revs between the max torque and the max bhp isnt it? so changing gear at about 6500revs will keep me in the power band and give me the quickest 0-60? u think my k&n panel filter has done anything to my power? my focus has a massive filter compared to my old 1.6 (non vvti).
