  1. why would you want to adjust it? its best kept on max Simply to reduce eyestrain at night. I usually set mine to something like 80% so its not as glaring at night. Lee
  2. From what I can make out its only on the Titanium! Perhaps, but to not even allow paying extra on the Zetec for some of the more basic features such as auto lights is bizare imo I'd buy a titanium and have to add the sports suspension (presumably the same as the Zetec model comes with as standard) and I'd specify the Titanium X pack as its such good value but then that automatically gives you full leather which I dont want! :? Oh well, back to the drawing board. Cheers guys, Lee
  3. Seb - many thanks. :) I cant understand why you cant get features such as auto lights/wipers on the Zetec then - even my Fiesta Zetec has these features! Seems a real shame. Lee
  4. Hi, wondered if someone would be able to confirm some things for me, all relating to the standard and available optional equipment on a new Zetec Focus. Sorry for all the questions in advance... Zetec DOESNT have auto lights/wipers and its NOT even available as a paid for option?! (It appears its standard on the titanium though?!) There is no option for auto dimming rear view mirror even though, again, it appears to be standard on the Titanium? Zetec has manual rear windows unless you pay for Global close option? When you specify the option of
  5. Looking very nice mate. 8) Good luck with it.
  6. Does anyone know if, when you upgrade the Stereo to the Sony one from the factory - do they also change the speakers to sony premium units or are the standard Ford ones left in place? Thanks, Lee
  7. Thats what I'd also look into personally - ive even seen FOrd garages put wrong spec bumpers/lights on accident repaired vehicles previously.
  8. Ron - I'd initially think the same thing as you - damaged car AND smashed the screen so anything else could also have been damaged aswell as the screen. I would have insisted on seeing the car and understanding how it happened there and then but the Mondeo was a nice touch - I guess the boss is using the Fiesta LX  Good luck in getting it sorted asap. Lee
  9. Do you mean the rear (back) seatbelts are making a noise when moving? Lee
  10. Thats nothing compared to some of the tories Ive heard! It shoudnt be allowed. A new car should be just that; a NEW car!
  11. Interesting topic. Im just running a new car in but the owners handbook says nothing about a running in procedure whatsoever. Ive just phoned the dealer and there words were 'its run in from the factory so drive it normally just being easy on the brakes for the first few hundred miles'! I was amazed tbh. I'll keep it under 4k revs for the first 500 miles I think.
  12. Guys - opinions will be split on this one I fear. I personally let it run every time I drive the car; if Ive been thrashing it home I'll let it idle longer than say just the 30 seconds or so I normally give it - im just used to doing it and just like changing the oil every 5,000 miles, it cant do any harm. :) We'll have to agree to disagree. Simple. Lee
  13. I always let the engine run for 15 seconds or so after pulling up but thats just my nature. Its true that you shouldnt have to do this although I bet it does prolong the life of the unit to a degree, even on a standard one. Lee
