  1. It's been a long time for me to update this - very lazy! Anyway - I got this sorted by ringing around a few local repairers and found one that was able to help (and were actually helpful on the phone rather than just dis-interested) They drilled out the plug as it was well and truly buggered, then sucked out any old crap from the head that had fallen in. Really impressed with them. So - my car is well again! Very happy as he is running much much better. Thanks for your advice guys. John
  2. Cheers twomey_paul. I have opted to leave it to the pro's - I are not confident enough I won't do MORE damage. Just finding a local team - my local ford service centre suggested I look for a Hellicoil specialist.
  3. Thanks Lottysvdub. I think I am going to leave this to the pro's.....hopefully I will find a pro, and not some bloody work experience kid and get screwed over. Now have the battle in my head between the local ford garage, and another local garage - but which one! Anyone know of a site that has reviews of garages on that is trustworthy??

Mk 2 1.6 Zetec Decided to change my sparks as I don't think they have ever been done - I haven't, and have had the car for three years - and it was stuttering. The area was wet - so emptied it with a turkey baster and soaked the rest up with a shammy (good tip from another post), dried it a bit more with some engine heat, gave them a bit of WD40 - all of them were stiff but came out.
