  1. Mine (05 1.6 TiVCT) did the same in January. No warning, just a sudden and complete loss of power steering. Phoned the Dealer, and as it was a Sunday, they asked if I could drive it home. I did so, and it was picked up the following morning, and I got it back on the Wednesday.
  2. I tried the method above in my 05 Zetec C, but it doesnt work. After the click, I still only have one touch for opening the window.
  3. My noise was observed when I took my car for a service last week. Its booked in for the 6th and 7th of June to try and sort it. I said that to TRY and sort it wasnt good enough, and I will not accept my car back until it IS sorted.
  4. I have a creak when I go over speed bumps or undulations in the road. Bloody annoying. Car is going in for a service on Friday, and I will point it out to them. I will also be pointing out the creak in the front passenger seat when braking/accelerating, door seals creaking, and the Windshield washer bottle losing its contents in a few days. I have to fill it every week! Gets quite expensive in Winter!
  5. I have found Meguires Tech Wax to be superb. Leaves a mirror like finish on mine (Aquarious Blue).
  6. Looks great. Thats the only non Lambo I have seen that looks anything like good with Scissor Doors on (even Lamborghini use Scissor/Gull wing doors, not Lambo Doors).
  7. I would certainly wait to get some experience before you upgrade the performance of your car. Its easy to drive fast, but not easy to control it. Im all for having a good old hoon in cars, but only once experience has been gained. Also, I really do hope that these silly little Fiestas that everyone has, are beating you well away from the public highway and their users. Dont forget you are still learning. I have been driving 22 years, and I too am still learning, as is everyone else. You have to learn to crawl before learning to walk.
  8. I can only dream of even coming close to that figure.
  9. The pic was taken yesterday. I didnt realize the date was wrong LOL! Now I have had her a year, I cant honestly say I am 95% chuffed with it. The discrepancy is down to the passenger seat frame creaking when braking, and the abysmal economy. I average 22 MPG which I think is a bit poor for the 1.6 TiVCT. I spent all of Friday washing, polishing and waxing her, but the pic doesnt do her justice because I have reduced the image quality way down so its suitable for posting. What are other peoples opinions on owning for a year?
  10. The smoked ones look bloody great! I cant understand why anyone would want to "Chav" up a classy looking car with Lexus rear lites. Afterall, they are not Lexus, and they are mainly seen on Boy Racer type 1.1 Saxos and Novas. Chav of the Chav indeed, and they are soooo dated now anyway.
  11. Its a nitemare. This is my 3rd Focus, and the worst one for fogging up. Even turning the engine off for a few mins whilst nipping into a shop etc results in a foggy windscreen. Never had it with any other car.
  12. It was looked at by the RAC yesterday, and it was towed to my Main Dealer. They said they will get it fiixed ASAP and they coul dnot be more apologetic. Should have it back tomorrow at the lastest, but it might be today. I have a Hire Car from National Car Rental for 48 hrs as my Dealer had no Courtesy Cars available. I have a 1.6 Grey, 5 Door Focus LX. What a difference between that and my Zetec!
  13. powers Steering Pump has been sick, throwing up all its fluid all ove rthe engine bay. I was only a bout 4 miles from home so I drove it home, and its being checked at the roadside in the morning, and if not fixable (blown hose/seal etc) its being taken away for repair and I will be left with a Hire Car. Gutted :(
  14. I dont think they were tight fisted. I think they were generous to have the sockets and wiring left in the car so we didnt have to add wires and sockets ourselves.
  15. Ahhh, so thats the software twist. I knew it was different to the OEM used in relation to cars, but I got it wrong.
