  1. The door mirrors on my 58 Reg Titanium TDCi fold, but not very far. They seem to go to about 50% closed and reach a resistance and won't push any further. Is this supposed to happen or am I supposed to keep pushing beyond the resistance? I am scared to push too hard in case I break them, but they are really useless only folded what seems to be half way as they still stick out. Any ideas? SM
  2. I am still getting around 38mpg in my 2.0 TDCi automatic. Very constant both on trip computer and my own running calculations.
  3. geoff You have seen my other post on the handbrake issue, which answers your questions I think. Driveability is great, acceleration too once you overcome the delay when pulling out in front of lorries! Yes there is a delay on getting power from stationary or very low speed. SM
  4. yes. they adjust the feeling of the steering  I really can't tell any noticeable difference.
  5. geoff I am getting 39.0 mpg or thereabouts on my 1 month old 2.0 diesel powershift doing mainly urban (stop start rush-hour) but with two fairly good motorway runs. Hope that helps. SM
  6. geoff I am getting used to the handbrake but I still don't think it looks right. People notice it too when they get in the car. It just looks wrong. I love the powershift though. It was so much smoother through the gears and anticipated the road far better. However the powershift on my Mk2.5 2.0 TDCi is even better than my previous Focus. You hardly know when it is changing gear. I have only used the manual shifter once jus
  7. Thanks tosscops. Yes it is now clear that Ford simply didn't re-design the console. Cheapskates!
  8. Yes Woodroff, I can see that might happen. The arm rest does kind of get in the way. However I would like to see a left-hand drive to see whether the hand brake is on the right of the console.
  9. Hello all I have just (1 month ago) taken delivery of my brand new 2.0 TDCi Titanium with Powershift. Lovely motor and I am generally very pleased with it. However the first thing I noticed when I got in was the handbrake: it is on the wrong side and obviously meant for a left-hand drive car. I immediately asked the sales-lady about it and she shrugged and said that all the Foci now have that setup. Something to do with Ford not spending the money for design and production changes for the UK derivative. I am pretty much used to it now but it still looks strange. Unfortunately I didn't t
