Thanks for the replies. I would appreciate a cutaway picture if you can find it...just for interest more than anything. The XU block is used for all the Peugeot HDi engines (but dates back to 205GTi etc) I believe, so wondered if they decided to use that as the base for the new engine. Possibility of an engine from a dead C-Max and wondered about the transplant options. Cheers CJ

Does anyone know if the C-Max TDCI engine block is based on the Ford (Lynx) or the Peugeot (XU) diesel engine, or is it something completely different? Any info on engine mount positions etc greatly appreciated. Cheers CJ
