  1. Thanks for the reply. If it is that wire, then I wonder why it is loomed behind the glove box rather than in the centre console. Another thing too, how would I switch off the passenger airbag if there is no switch fitted?
  2. I am looking to fit an Aux in socket, so I removed the glove box to see if I have the relevant cable already loomed in. Can anyone tell me if the connector pictured below is the connector for the Aux in socket? Cheers [/img] [/img]
  3. My MK1.6 LX (06) does not have any rear passenger interior lights. Has anyone fitted these before? What parts do I needs? Is it an easy job? Cheers Jeff
  4. Does anyone know if the CD6000 can play MP3 CD's? I know that I could try a disk, but I do not have the car with me today to check. Cheers Jeff
  5. As far as I know the only difference is the variable timing. If you look to the left hand side of the camshaft in the bottom picture in the post above you'll see the yellow coloured valve timing actuator, my 1.6 115HP (06) has this, but my brother in-law's 1.6 Zetec 100HP (57) does not. I think that is right anyway.
  6. Did you use in-line fuses? What rating did you use? What size wire did you use? Where did you terminate the earth? Did you get the sockets from Ford? Sorry for all the questions! :D Cheers Jeff
  7. Nice job! Where did you get the supply from? Is it switched? Can you let us know how you did it (with pics pls). Cheers Jeff
  8. Has anyone retro fitted a heated front windscreen to a MK2? Thanks in advance. Jeff
  9. Thanks guys, I think the adaptor and extra fuses will be the way to go. Cheers! Jeff :D
  10. I have a Mk2 with a single cig lighter socket at the front. When we go on holiday I need 3 sockets, 1 for the sat nav, another for the kids' DVD player and one for a fridge. My question is this, if I get a 3 way adaptor will the socket provide enough power? I could put another socket in the boot, but if the single one will suffice I'd rather not. Thanks in advance Jeff
  11. I have a Thule Polar 200 that does the job nicely.
  12. I have a 2006 MK2 hatchback which does not have a cig lighter socket in the boot. Does anyone know how to add one? I have looked in the 'How to' section, but could not find any such posts. I need the socket to be switched with the ignition and will be using it to run a fridge in the boot. I've read some posts that say that the wiring may already be there, this would be handy! Thanks in advance. Jeff
  13. My 06 Focus has the 6000CD head unit with an Aux button, but I do not have the connector in the glove box. Does anyone know if the wiring for the connector is in the loom seeing as I have an Aux button on the head unit? I could look, but I thought it'd be easier to ask here first. Cheers Jeff
