Ive just got rid of my GTI for the ST and can tell you 1. The ST is Better Built 2. The ST is a better drive on a motorway 3. The Ford Dealers are 1000 times better than my local VW dealer 4. The ST is worth ever penny of its £18,800 compared to the £23k price tag for the golf. 5. Skodas are now better built than the MK5 Golf I had. I will never own another one, EVER. And I was a big VW fan having 7 new GTI's over the last 5 yrs The Ford is the way to go ..........

off topic Ive had 5 MK4 GTI's and went for a MK5 gti and it was the worst built shed i have even owned, and like i say in my previous post the customer services just didnt want to know. I picked my MK5 up with a fault in January 2005 and sold it in November with the same fault still there. I had over 8 warranty claims on the car including ECU's Alarm Boxes and the Wiring, Wiper motors, sensors and door window motors. I paid over £23k for my car .................. NEVER AGAIN I HOPE PEOPLE TAKE HEED OF THE WARNING ..... PS my Focus ST is fantastic !!!!!

Ive got mine ...... ST2 Black OLD CAR 05-Golf GTI 200. And yes it was utter rubbish, always with the dealer, and VW couldnt give a t0ss about customer service

In his / hers defence ... All Jaguars have a locking sytem seperate to the cars door locking.

So you work in the motor trade as well !!! LOL Come on ............... What is going to happen while you are filling up with fuel ? when you go to pay, thats the time to lock it ! What do you do when you go shopping ???? and have the tailgate open unloading ?

Picked mine up today. No mats, I was told that they are now an option. Also they have got me a flip key, but i havent got a leather key fob

Yep, Thats what the demo had. I will be on to my dealer for mine

So thats MATS on my List And Now A KEY Come on Ford .... Dont * * * * me about like VW did

What keys did you get with your new ST. The car I test drove had a Ford Flip key, but mine has arrived and dosent have one ? I questioned it and the dealers said it was ST3 olny that gets the flip key, I then pointed out the demo was an ST2 the same as mine. So did you get a flip key ?

I was told that climate control was an extra, But Clarkson says it was standard. Is climate Standard or is my Dealer right ?
