my brake pedal squeaks when released any ideas? its a 1.6 mk2. also car has had the numberplate lights replaced as corroded and now when the lights are on i can see the them through the rear view mirror reflecting on the rear window. must be a gap in the cover at the back. grrr

what type of bulb are the middle bulbs in the headlights?can i swap them for birghter ones too? iv'e swapped the h1 and h7s already

no DTC fault code. just says dtc#00 none

ABS light has just come on. and also the AC light keeps coming on randomly. any ideas what could be causing this???? could the brake pads just need changing?

hey thanks for that one other question. got me skirts today. can see where they bolt on underneath but ive noticed they have little yellow plugs on the back, where do these slot into??

couple of questions about this 1- i have bought the st front bumper washer jet covers, can these just be stuck over the holes??? 2- the fog light surrounds seem to be needing screw in the front???? 3- can i attach the rear st bumper whilst i still have my standard exhaust on???

tried car in 5th gear at 20mph and didnt rev up also took car to garage and they said the clutch was fine. yeah my power loss is only slight also will have a look at PS fluid although sure this was ok the other night when i checked it. one other thing is i had my exhaust replaced bout 3 months ago and ever since, when i put my foot on the gas i can hear the exhaust near the manifold sucking air in. had this checked once and was told this was sealed fine.......

still getting this smell, have noticed a lack in power also....

yeah does smell a bit plastic/metal yeah. the gear's arn't slipping or anything though

nah checked that, taken it out today for an hour to work and opened the bonnet and smell is there again(no smoke or anything)checked oil which is fine. car seemed to be reving a bit higher than normal and noticed a lack of power when climbing a hill.

was driving home last night through pretty bad snow doing not much more than 20mph in 3rd due to snow for gud 20 miles . i noticed a burning metal smell in my car. im assuming its the clucth. havent had the chance to take the car out and take it through all the gears yet. wondering if this smell will go or if the cluctch is knackard. never noticed this smell before. focus 1.6 mk2 cheers

Car still pulsating /judering when idle. has just had recent service and this dosent seem to have fixed it. if i sit idle and put the fans maybe no2, this seems to make it worse. however even when the fans are not on air still somes through the fans, is this normal??? also car seems rly flat when im accelerating also.....

my car has covered just over 37k and is apprently due a major service with ford for 250 quid....does this have to be done at ford or can other garages do a major service....

cars exhaust has been blowing so took into ford today. apprently the cat has collapsed and there is possibly a leak on the flexi joint,??? said they need to take exhaust apart to see if the cat needs replacing or the whole pipe. technician sed that this must have been caused when my car was looked at by ford a couple of months ago at another dealers, for a missfire???? ford said they will only cover the cat under warranty not the rest of the exhaust if this is needed surely they shud cover both if they caused the fault???? 1.6 06 focus

just got one of these. is it easy to fit? is is just the two bolts and the clips on the side???

another full day in ford garage. turned out to be a missfire, faulty spark plugs replaced. seems ok for now.......

tried the carb cleaner but no success........:( . Any chance this could be the alternator as this has only started since the fuse for the cigarette lighter was replaced????

took off air filter pipe and looked at the throttle body. doesnt seem to be any blocked there. sprayed carb cleaner in but stil have same problem.......
