I've had my TDCi 2.0 Ghia for just over a month now (1300 miles), and on-the-whole have been very happy with it. However, recently, it's developed a couple of problems. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, what was done about it? The problems are: - At cold start the engine is lumpy (definite vibration in the cabin), and the ref counter fluctuates ~100rpm - but suddenly - not a kind of "hunting" increase/decrease. - As I pull away, and even when cruising at a steady speed of say 25mph in 3rd, I can feel the car kind of "mis-fire" as it were, and occasionally feel that when I app

The second day after getting the car, I did a 200 mile round trip following my daughter to university in her little Fiat. Because we didn't really get much above 60 most of the way, I managed a staggering 66 mpg! I was very impressed. Still averaging aound 49 mpg for normal urban driving.

Yes, it's confusing, and I reckon the wrong way round. I naturally thought I was adjusting the "sensitivity" of it, and therefore, set to maximum, it would wipe the most. But it turns out you have to think of it as setting the amount of rain before it'll wipe.

Thanks for your reply. I'm relieved to hear about the button. I read somewhere that the car unlocks when you walk up to it (without doing anything else). I would hate that, because I could so easily walk past the car with the keyfob in my pocket, and not want to get in a drive!

But if I didn't buy an option everytime the local dealership didn't have the full details, then I'd have a car with zero options! My local dealership is seriously bad at providing details if their show cars don't have the option fitted. Did anyone have ANY luck in getting information on the DVD sat nav system, for example? My dealership knew nothing (other than in the Focus brochure), couldn't get hold of any additional information, and couldn't even get hold of a copy of the handbook for its operation. Hi all Well, T-2 weeks and counting before I should receive my new 2.0 TDCi focus. Can't wait! In fact, impatience has got the better of me, and thought I'd ask! One of the options I've gone for is the keyless entry system, and just wondered how this worked. (I've heard of it before, but never seen one in real-life). So what happens. You just walk up to the car and when it comes to opening the door, provided you have the keyless thingy in your pocket, the doors unlock automatically? Do all the doors unlock when you do this?
