  1. www. eliteremaps.com , gave them a ring on saturday and they came out on easter monday. It cost a bit at £249 but all the other sites I had been on were more costly. The technician Dave from Leeds said it is virtually undetectable and would be reversed if I found it unsuitable.Had a trip to Lindisfarne yesterday and had no probs at all.
  2. Got the 1.8 TDCi remapped yesterday and the flatspot is much better, she also pulls like a train up the steep banks around Sandsend/Whitby. 35 extra horses and 50 Nm of torque make overtaking an absolute joy with all these sunday drivers out on a tuesday. Looking forward to a run to the lakes on thursday. :D :D
  3. Thanks jbeer for the info. I have been looking up prices for a remap but only having the car for a week , Idont know if it will invalidate any Ford approved warranty. Being new to diesels (apart from the old trannie vans , which I cant recall having quite a pronounced flat spot ). But with the way the car looks and drives I think I will persevere. :D
  4. i am a newbie to the FFOC and posting , so forgive any mistakes ! have just bought a 1.8 TDCi zetec and find it a cracking car (compared to the fords from many years ago)but it has one hell of a flat spot when first setting off. this is a bit dangerous pulling out of the road end, is this normal for this engine?. the focus is not even one year old yet (and i am new to diesel engines)
