When I started my hunt for a new car I totally disregarded the ST. I'd been in a lowest spec new shape hire car and hated :evil: everything about it's style. A combination of the pricing and good reviews drew me back to look at the car. The ST's changes are suttle but it's much improved in my eyes. Still no beauty queen. I am now bordering on obsessive however whilst waiting on my march delivery. I had a blue ST a few cars ahead of me in traffic going home the other night. I was trying my hardest to get closer and get a good look at it but kept getting caught at traffic lights, etc.

I'm waiting on getting my blue ST early this year myself. Lucky g!t. I know it's personal preference but I wouldn't do anything too radical to the ST. It already stands out as it is, so I'd worry that changing the alloys and putting on the new rear lights would take away the ST look, which at the moment is still pretty desireable. No offence to owners of lower spec Foci, but the more you change the car I think the more it'll look like a 1.6 with some cheap mods. I'm tempted by your thoughts Flyingfocus RS. I know that the ST2 has an MP3 compatible sterio where you should be able to put in a CD full of MP3s and have visibility of track names etc. Does anyone know if the head unit will display the track names from the mp3 player?

Foobar... you are a lucky man :P . Can't wait for mine. Although I've seen just about every picture out there I wouldn't mind seeing another. If you've taken any of the the car please post them up. Especially if it's performance blue.

It's amazing how worked up and upset people can get on motoring forums. I've done it myself though and have voluntarily resigned from posting on forums again after losing the rag and making myself look like a right numpty. On another note one think I really hate, is when people compare brand new to second hand purchases. Why spend 17K on a focus when you could buy a ten year old Supra/Skyline, etc. What a load of mince (as we say in Glasgow). People can buy 300bhp tuned up Japmobiles or 12 year old M3s for a few grand but not everybody actually wants to, regardless if you can hit 60 it 2

Sorry, I'm just not loving it. I was told by a dealer that Ford are likely to source more paint from Lamborghini after the success of the Electric Orange. If this is true then your best bet would be to look at some of the crazy colours you can currently get lambos in. This is close to what you were thinking though...

The review was pretty good from where I was sitting. I can't wait for my Focus ASBO. It's just a pity they recorded a lap where it was foggy and damp on the track. Even though Clarkson said that on a decent day it would have got a better time than the Astra VXR, bragging rights are everything at the end of the day :roll: .

Funnily enough I'm tempted by the performance blue which seems the worst. I'd rather order the colour I want and take the chance over the colour match than order a colour I don't really want. It it is really bad then I'll take action to get it sorted out. Thanks for the info though. Keeping this on topic I'd ideally like some kind of MP3 playing device which allows me to control track selection through the car sterio if this is possible.
