To be honest I think it's just the way the dealer has fitted it. I'm not talking about a small audible grinding noise. This is really bad. Kinda sounds a bit like a slow drill getting stuck lol. That's not really an exageration either. The noise I heard before was only small but once you notice it you notice it every bleedin time. Will be nice to get it sorted as we still have the majority of the summer to go. Either way, thanks for all your sentiments. I'll make sure I keep you all updated. Cheers

Yep it was him. He was good during my Tie-rod issue. But everything else I'm just fed up with. I used to work at Cummins Diesels until a week yesterday when my placement came to an end. The last few dealings I've had with him I've not been impressed. Dealers should atleast fight for the consumer as well as the manufacturer. With him I just a load of bull. I went round Allen Ford Coventry and they were b***er all help as well. I'll never buy from an Allen Ford.

I think the main reason I'm so fed up is due to the total lack of respect the dealer showed me. Also, to be fair the car is really good, but considering this is meant to be a class leader I'm a bit dissappointed in the quality and design of some aspects of the car. Studying mechanical engineering at University doesn't really help either as I can see where they've cut corners and where they've implemented design without really thinking properly. The main 2 I'm bothered about is my air con and paint match. Paint match being the more important of the 2. When I come to sell the car in a few year

Currently got about 5 main problems with my 1.6 ti-vct zetec climate. 1. Air Con was faulty so got the air compressor and clutch replaced only to find five mins down the road that it starts making really really bad grinding sound. I believe this is due to the clutch and compressor not mating properly after poor fitting by dealer. 2. Poor front bumper colour match. I have pointed this out to the dealer who "attempted" to fix my air con. He just gave me the it's due to the angle you're looking at it spiel. 3. Door creeking. This could well be due to the door alignment as it's only on one s

Yeah, this is probably due to natural fade of different tones anyway. I'll contact the dealer at the weekend to see what they says. I'm expecting to get fobbed off by them though. What should I say if they say "well you could have been in an accident and got it sprayed by a 3rd party"? I haven't been, but that would be my automatic reaction if someone came back to me after 10 months and kicked up a stink. I'm pretty sure the rear bumper is out as well, although I have yet to get someone to verify that for me. Can I have the number for Ford Customer Relations? Or, is it on there website so -

Hi Kevin, Thanks for replying!! I've had it since late may. That's where I think I may have a problem. I will try the dealer route and ford customer relations. It's only really bad on the front bumper. I'll post some pics at some point when I clean it. Thanks again, Phill -
Hi Kevin, Congrats on getting your car sorted finally. How long after taking delivery did it take you to first make a complaint? I have an Aquarius Blue MK2 which miss-matches quite bad. I'm colour blind so there is no way I would have noticed it when I picked it up. I notice it now though when I study it properly. I'd love to be able to get this resolved, but I have no clue how to properly go about it. If you can help me go through this I'd be really grateful!!!!!! Cheers, Phill.

I find it's quite similar to my old MG ZR 1.4 105bhp engine. Box have to be revved the nuts off to get anything from them. But to me, for the engine size, it feels pretty nippy and the acceleration is plentiful from around 60-80. I was having a little go at a Jag X-type (Who was driving like a prat up my * * * * for about 1/2 a mile when I couldn't get in a gap to move over) which I think had the 2.5 litre engine in and his didnt seem to accelerate THAT much quicker than mine really only when it was getting to around 70-85 ish his was noticeably pulling away quickly. Either way for a 1.6

Pretty good review in my Opinion. Think he went a little overboard on the Chav side of things though, although the Ford asbo was a wicked phrase. It's a bit of a shame the weather wasn't up to scratch. That would of no doubt kicked both the Golf GTI and VXR in the preverbials anyway :D I don't think I'd have the Orange if I was ordering one now. Would much prefer the car in black or dark blue. Agree that the wheels really suit it now. It's amazing how much difference video can make over pictures isn't it. My colour match isn't to bad apart from my front bumper. But I might end up put

hmmmmmm innnnteresting. Problem is I wouldn't be able to get lifts to work n stuff. Might be a possibility next summer I guess after I finish my year placement over in Daventry. Phill

I'd imagine you could just use the Mk1 induction kits on the normal 1.6, but the Ti-VCT I don't know cos it's a brand new engine. Phill

I'd like to know if there's one available for my 1.6 Ti-VCT yet aswell. Hope so!
