Just been given a date of 24th March for early April delivery....

I have seen this on the forum somewhere, but can't find it now. My dealer has just confirmed some spec changes but has told me that the adjustable pedals can't be added to an ST. Anyone know different? Is there a tech bulletin number or something? Cheers all!

My dealer has forwarded an email from a 'Gregg Chandler' (must be the point of contact at Ford for dealers?) who said that Ford have now sorted the recaro packs and bluetooth. Actual words were..."I think we have fixed the problem with these 2 features this morning (9 Feb ) so there is no benefit in removing them now". I have an order number; just waiting for the build date now!

The mirror comes as part of the 'vis' pack, a £250 Option. Includes the mirror, auto lights and auto wipers...

My dealer says it is the bluetooth (both versions) and the recaro seat pack which are holding up the car, not the vis pack (I haven't ordered a sunroof or reflective windscreen)

that has to be the worse excuse i have ever heard ??, in reality how many touch ups ever match, and like said anything is better than nothing :cry: Well, if they can't get the bumpers right compared to the bodies when done at the same time, a paint stick is far too hard a job!!!

Well, normally that would be true and I would agree totally (different day, different driver etc), but it was the Boss of TeamRS that said the ST was 10-14 seconds faster. He would have access to the telemetry from both cars throughout their developement, hence the '10-14 secs' comment stands. A Mk2 ST will whip a Mk1 RS' * * * * around the 'ring! lol

Autocar's reg was K-ST 7740 and I just saw 'best of top gear' with the ST vid again, that was k-ST 7726 but with orange seats and a self dimming mirror again (looked like).... Any dealers know for sure?

...and inside the engine bay! Hehehehe...

The German spec one, Autocar had for test in their 1st Nov edition has one, but although orange it appears to have all grey / black recaro seats. Specs get changed around between countries I suppose.

I was told by a dealer I test drove with (ST2) that the new focus doesn't have a self dimming rear view mirror; can anyone confirm this? Does the Ghia or Titianium have one and the ST not? Cheers!

...and the AA or Northern Rock will do a personal loan at 5.8 or 5.9% APR; staggering! I will probably buy 'cash' but have expressed an interest in 'options'. We'll see what the quoted rates turn out to be....

£1000 was whatcar's target price so they should know the garage that will do that sort of deal. I receieved £500 off my order and I'm happy to PM the name, phone number and website of the dealer I'm going through (slightly NW of M25).

Syndey, It would have to be in 'James the Cat's name not yours. If ford then found out that you were the 'owner' you would be paying the extra. I don't think JTC was offering sales at priv prices, he works for a dealer and was offering some discount (£500?) on a new one..... Nice try though!
