  1. Well, done 2600 miles now, and only now just hit 33mpg, highest its been since I got the car new at the end of January. This has mostly been motorway driving over to Essex and back, and been hitting 3500 to 4000 revs. Really thought I would have been getting higher than this by now. Also on another note, what do people's fuel computers say when you fill up? At first my said I had 400 miles to empty, then the last five or six fill ups have been 360/370 miles. The last one went back up to 392. Confusing!
  2. Sorry mate, just don't think those alloys go with the ST. Just my opinion.
  3. I've got 1900 and barely get above 3000rpm, and I'm getting 29mpg. So I think it all a load of rubbish personally. Do you reset yours after you fill up?
  4. Yeah I had thought about doing that so the port was next to the heater switches, rather than running cable out of the glove compartment under the outer console and around the gear stick. doesn't look too untidy but its far from perfect. So post a pic please!
  5. I'll take some pictures of mine tomorrow. Exact same model as the one you're getting.
  6. This is annoying. I'm driving exactly the same as DJL, rarely hitting over 60, taking it easy, coasting up to traffic lights etc, yet the damned fuel computer reckons i'm about 29mpg. Car has done 1800 miles now. If its supposed to loosen up around 5000 miles, damn, thats a lot of fuel i'm gonna have to stick in it to get there.
  7. Maybe it is there, but Ford have hidden access to it. Manuals are usually printed months in advance of a car rolling off the production line. Perhaps they just decided it wasn't accurate enough and took it out for the timebeing to be added at a later date.
  8. Oh right, I got down to about 40 a couple of weeks back and the reserve light didn't come on
  9. Since filling up two weeks ago, I reset the Average MPG and odometer. Since that day, I've only only broken 30mpg once, I think its currently at 29mpg - which is pretty poor I think. I'm now at quarter of a tank left, Miles to Empty says I've got about 120 miles left. All my travelling is either A roads and short hop on motorway to Work, and I had to do a trip to London Bridge area of London during the week. Also, out of interest, the miles to empty - does that include the reserve, or the amount of fuel left before you touch the reserve tank?
  10. Yeah me neither. Always paid when picking the car up after it had been registered.
  11. In the last few weeks I seem to have been getting a lot of static shocks of my car, mostly when I get out and close the drivers door. Anyone else have this problem, as its really starting to annoy me now.
  12. As I put in another post, the only BP stations around here are all close to the edge of nowhere, so they are the last petrol station you can fill up at before entering the countryside, or getting on a motorway - therefore they are always a good 2-3p a litre more expensive. Think I'll stick to normal Tesco fuel.
  13. Ok, there have been a few posts in the last couple of weeks regarding the Fuel Computer on the MKII focus, and whether its accurate or not. As this is the first car I've owned which is capable of measuring fuel consumption, I'm a little concerned over the "Miles to Empty" option. I filled up the car a couple of weeks ago, and it claimed that it was 400 miles to empty. I also reset the odometer to zero. My main concern is that whenever I start the engine, I mysteriously lose about 20 miles from my "Miles to Empty" display. Now I know its not entirely accurate, and I always follow where
