  1. I've just had a major service (37.5K) on my C-max 2.0 TDCI and been told that there was metal debris in the fuel filter housing. A new filter has been fitted but the garage think this may be caused by the pump. The warranty runs until Dec 09 but the dealer is only considering if pump replacement is a valid warranty claim. Has anyone come across this problem, is it normal? More importantly what is the life of a fuel pump. 37k miles doesn't seem that long to me so should be a valid claim? Car is running OK at the moment but I understand a replacement pump is ££££'s to fix. Any thoughts
