  1. I've painted calipers before on my last focus and mine were painted black for some reason, then I actually moved onto a car with painted calipers (Fabia vRS) before moving back to a C-Max. I'm toying with the idea of painting mine green, when I get round to it. All I done on my focus was get a wire brush to the caliper and take some of the rubbish of it and then I painted it and it looked good.
  2. I usually just lock the doors before I just pull off in the car, used to have this on my last car (Skoda Fabia) which I could do over my laptop ie plug a cable into the ECU and change it, but as people have said it's not deemed safe in a accident for example.
  3. Looking on the ford website the base model style has the chrome strip on the bonnet, also looking I can't believe how much the base model focus has shut up from £17870!!
  4. Another way to tell is on the lip above the grill on the bonnet should be a chrome strip.
  5. Well with ours being a diesel I reckon I should be getting it in about 4000rpm!! Davy
  6. Mine too has a shift indicator but I have never seen it come on and I've tried to put it on!! I think all the diesel focus' have this for economy purposes.
  7. On my first car a micra, the brakes lasted about 55000miles. On My Fabia vRS I had to have new brakes all round at about 39K which I thought was a bit funny and quite low miles, turns out Skoda do that for the Fabia chaange all the discs at the two year service from what I gather reading on forums. My C-Max has only covered 27300 miles since new so I'm hoping that I don't need to replace these in the lifetime I own the car.
  8. Mine was frozen for the best part of a week earlier this year! Lucky I don't use the car much, but as people say make sure it's a good concentrate or warm water into the bottle just to thaw it out.
  9. Lucky the never fitted the bulb about £24!! from FRAUDS!
  10. Cool, well to cut a long story short, I bought a filter from a well known internet company, who were selling the cone filter described as panel filter, needless to say I was a bit worried when I opened the box as the company told me it was a panel filter that would fit the car and not a cone filter, well after a month I got a panel filter, and opened the air box to find it was a cone filter. Needless to say I'm planning on using another company to get the right filter and fit this into the airbox. But thanks for clarifying this. davy
  11. Am I right in thinking this filter would just fit in the airbox, or do you need to remove the airbox and fit this instead? I gave Pumaspeed a call and they advised that it was the same as the new RS as well. Davy
  12. I presume yours will be the same as mine a cone filter inside the airbox, I recently had problems I have the 1.6 TDCI unit and ordered a filter which resulted in the company sending a cone filter which I thought was incorrect as I was assured it was a panel filter, so I sent it back and after a while got a panel filter, popped the air filter box after unsrewing to find it was a cone filter....  I presume the engine cover is just clipped on and a hard pull should remove it, I don't have a engine cover so you see like the look of the common rail diesel system and other thi
  13. Think it's October to November the Mark 3 comes out, I'm quite keen in the Grand C-Max which is ment to be a seven seater as when the C-Max came out Ford did not want to make a seven seater. Davy
