  1. Well having had a good look at an ST 2 in Performance blue with the roof stripes it think it makes a good looking car resemble a Max Power clone, really cheapens the whole thing. Woulsn't touch em with a barge pole myself.
  2. All a filter does is clean the crap out of the air your engine sucks in. to do that it has to put a barrier capable of stopping the particles that the manufacturer considers harmful to the engine. No filter will stop ALL particles, if it did you would get no air into the engine. The filter will result in constriction of the airflow into the engine this is unavoidable. The only ways a different filter can reduce this constriction are to 1 Increase the surface area of the filter hence allowing more air to be processed. 2 Increase the size of particles that the filter allows into the engine
  3. Look if you want to take every bit of criticism of your industry personally then I don't expect you to last very long in it. I specifically aimed my comments at the Dealership I had no choice but to go to and only reported on my experiences with them. Now if I HAD said all dealers and salesmen were crap I would not have blamed you in the least for getting * * * * with me. I really hope you don't take your "why don't you ****off elsewhere" attittude into work with you as it won't get you very far. I have seen you doing your best to get cars for people and applaud you for doing so but please do
  4. Didn't want to waste his time showing a car he didn't have and if you had read what I wrote not what you think I wrote you would see I didn't tell him it was a lease car I was having, until after he had told all about why Ford were deliberately not producing cars and that he couldn't show me the car. Where did I say I hate all salesmen I know most of you are decent people just trying to earn a crust thought god knows why you want to sell cars for a living. The only reason I was in his show room was because I was waiting an hour and a half for a 10 minute job to be done by the service dept.
  5. You really got to hand it to the Sales droid at Furrows. Excuse why I couldn't look at the ST Demonstrator they had. They sold it because Ford are DELIBERATLEY not building ST's flat out to maintain a scarcity of product to increase the desireability of the marque and hence protect private buyers from depreciation! When I queried this by asking would this not p*ss off all those people who actually want to buy the car he assued me that this would not be so as they would be more happy with the fact that the reduced depreciation would make them happier when they actually got the car. I then men
  6. They are not all rubbish. My local franchise (Furrows ) has a dealship in Telford and they are without doubt sh*te however the same company run a dealership in Shrewsbury and they are brilliant. Shame I have to drive 15 miles to get decent service but well worth the effort.
  7. Nice to have the time to clean it that often Some of us have lives beyond looking after our vehicles. What is the point in having a shine kit that last 10 years when I will lay odds you won't have the car in 10 years time I know I certainly won't, mine gets changed every 3 years wether I want to or not. All these polishes are just a con if cold clean water is good enough for Mr Ford then its good enough for me! The only worthwhile product you mentioned for the outside is the tyre blacking why can't they stay black instead of that horrible manky grey colour! Window polish is the same stuf
  8. Aint you painted em Red yet? Must admit I cleaned mine for the first time in months the other week I was surprided how well it has survived all the salt and other crap. Soaked with the hose, Jet washed and brush attachment then another soaking and leathered off. The same for the wheeels not too bad at all the only problem I was frozen stiff by the end of it. Decided to polish the windows inside and out as well and then out came the vacuum turned into a spring clean in the middle of winter!!!
  9. Oh it stood out no problem very difficult to missbut definately not my idea of orange. I had a Puegot 106 a few years ago which was blue but in the right light it was more of a purple colour. These pearlesant paints are designed to do this but the "alternative " colour for the St just does not look right to me.
  10. Hmm not good and a bit of a surprise The Mk1 flaps were very easy to fit I can't believe Ford would make the Mk2 ones so bad but there you go still unless they make ones specially for the ST I won't be too worried
  11. Phil If you have used the moulded ones from the Mk1 it's no surprise they don't fit well they are only for the Mk1 you need to buy the ones designed for the Mk2 which will not fit the Mk 2 ST model either.
  12. Saw one today all I can say is 12r is right. Glad I ordered blue that orange looked decided weak in the gray light of today.
  13. windscreens fitted with a rubber seal yes , bonded screens no . Which covers about 99% of all new cars at the moment. Believe me taking a screen out without breaing it is nigh on impossible you do have to be very very careful.
  14. It's probably the wipers hitting the trim on the edge of the screen
