Is it possible to get the Sony 6CD to display CD text (the title of the song playing etc)? This is pretty much standard on a CD player these days and it does say CD Text on the fron of the unit, but I cant get it to display anything and theres nothing in the manual. Cheers Ben

OK, I disconnected the battery and the clock has come back. I then had another problem in that I couldnt set the time. With RDS on it kept setting itself to 22.00 when it was 17.00. and if I set it manually it would show the time I set it to but it wouldnt change, it just stayed at 17.08 Anyway, after playing around with different menu options (turning Clip Off seemed to do the trick, but Ive no idea what clip is), Ive set it manually and it appears to be working. surely not! the whole things fine apart from the clock not displaying does anyone know if disconnecting the radio and reconnecting it again would help? could it be to do with WDS? Its such an annoying problem this, how can altering the time cause the clock to just disappear! :roll: Ben

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I couldnt really find an answer. I fitted the Sony 6CD to my Focus about a month ago and everything has been fine until this morning. The clock was a few minutes slow so I changed it and now the clock display has disappeared all together. Anyone know what to do about it? Cheers Ben

Well in the end I did get the 100bhp 3dr. And youre right its fine, its not as fast as my old car, but its absolutely fantastic to drive. Im really pleased with it. I know most people would have chosen the 5dr 115bhp, but IMO the 3dr just looks so much better. The only thing ive found that Im not sure about, is there is a lot of condensation in the headlights, is this normal? is there anything I can do about it? cheers

Really? How do they justify that price when its only £200 as an option? Looks like Ill have to get one elsewhere then. If I were to get one from ebay for example, then it would only be the head unit ( i assume) so Ill have to settle for the standard speakers. But is the auxillary connection still there behind the glove box? My main reason for wanting it is so I can attatch my ipod, plus it looks so much better than the standard unit. Ben

Hi Im due to pick up my focus at end of week. Its a year old and is fitted with the standard cd player. When I was at the Ford garage today I asked if it was possible to upgrade the CD player to the MP3 single disc Sony one. They said I could and would price it up for me and ring me tomorrow. They also said that you might be shocked at the cost, I asked roughly how much, but she said she wasnt sure but it might be expensive. Im in leeds, but the thing thats kind of tieing me to this dealer is theyre offering me a decent price for my car in part ex. Ive got outstanding finance on my car which Ive only had a year (im getting rid of it coz it drives like a bag of * * * *), and Ive managed to beat them down to a good offer (way better than the other garages Ive been to) which is minimizing the amount Im losing on my old car.

How noticeable is the difference between 100 and 115 though? If I want the 100 in 3dr I can get a pretty good deal and I can get it it on friday. :D

Hi I am getting a used new shape focus (1.6 zetec climate). I know you can either get 100bhp or 115bhp, I want 3 door and the place Im getting it can only get the 115 in 5 door. They say it doesnt really make that much difference, is this the case? to be honest, bhp doesnt really mean much to me, but I definately want the 3dr.
