  1. The reversing and fog lights look pretty cool, although it would look even better if someone designed some LED type lights, the slim profile of the Focus rear lights means lexus lights won't really work in my opinion. Anyone remember the first Maserati 3200 with the boomerang rear lights ? now imagine 3 lines of lights, one red, one amber and the last red running from bottom to top !
  2. Thanks for the PM guys !!! I will have to do the pic the week end, as because i have the Ghia the A/C vent in the glove box makes removal a bit more difficult. But by all means I will post as many pics as possible, and if i get time will even do a wiring diagram...
  3. Here is a picture of the 3.5mm socket fitted next to the Screen Heater switch below the main console Here is a picture with my m:robe mp3 player fitted The cable between the socket and mp3 player is too long at the moment which is why it is coiled up Incidentally I have found that the plastic at the top of the cubby hole is smooth enough to allow a suction cup (Mobile phone holder type) to be used, this is great because it means no fixing to the dash !!! ( Which also solves the mobile phone holder mounting problem, If like me you don't want to use screws etc...) I didn't buy f
  4. many thanks ulsterfocus.... Will be going to HendyFord later to order !!!
  5. Update After messing around a bit, I came to the conclusion that i didn't want to have the glove box open or have a lead running out of it, so after buying a 3.5mm stereo adapter from Maplin, ( Approx £2) have now installed it next to the rear heater switch on one of the button blanks. Will post a pic if anyone is interested..... getting the cable down was easy once tyhe glove box was removed
  6. Yeah thats the idea !!! I was hoping someone had been brave enough to try and change one :!: I have installed my tom tom one in the Ghia dash top box, that way i don't get any waires showing, but still get GPS !
  7. Has anyone changed ( or would want to change) the centre surround ? I have a ghia which i love for the extras, but the plastic wood effect is a bit naff, and was thinking of trying to get hold of the titanium spec surround... However it looks like quite a big job, any ideas :?:
  8. Perhaps with few more miles the suspension and tyres will bed in better, It feels a little "loose" on the corners at the moment !!! :?:
  9. LOL :D My company only offers the Studo for basic engineers The LX for Mid Range Engineers And a Ghia for Managers (Like myself) As far as i know most Fleets only have access to the 1.6 TDCi (109PS) or 1.8 TDCi (115PS) models My comany made a right hash of the gradings, and i didn't even know they were giving me a 1.8, as the paperwork said 1.6... The old Focus CL ( which most fleets supplied) was a 90ps model if that helps.
  10. My ghia 1.8 TDCi was the best spec my company offered..... having just done 1500 miles I have to say that it's a great drive, although i find the suspension settings on the ghia a bit soft when cornering !!!
  11. Just checked my windows and hold unlock -- the windows go down, and lock -- windows go up. I also have a ghia so i guess it's part of the Ghia spec.
  12. My Ghia is colour coded too, but all the engineers at work who cannot get Ghias (Due to company car gradings) are opting for black !!! We have a choice between Ford Mondeo, Focus, or Peugeot 407 or 307 SW, and after the C**PPY 307 SW i had for the last 3 years, It was time for a change.... I've been told by Fleet Controller that 90% of the new cars being ordered by engineers are Focus' Hurrah :D
  13. Just followed the other posts, and confirm, that if your 6000 has an aux button, then the loom is in place, just make sure you use the 4 pin connector.... You don't actually have to use the adapter from ford if you don't mind having a cable in the glove box, the pin outs are : Black - both screens White/grey - White White/ Purple - Red Most 3.5mm Jacks are wired for screen, Red & White. I had a spare 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable I could try, and chopped off the end and stripped it back, temp spliced into the ford loom before the plug. I will be getting the ford adapter, as makes a
  14. Seen loads of Panther Blacks on the South Coast in Portsmouth ( Mine Included) seams people like the black cos' it blends in the plastic spoilers etc....
  15. Just looking through the latest edition of Top Gear Magazine and noticed that they are stating that 06 Focus are Ipod Compat. As standard. Just taken delivery of my 06 Panther Black Ghia 1.8 TDCi and don't have any MP3 socket in glovebox, although i DO have the 6000 with the AUX button ( Not CDDJ) My local dealer is acting thick when I asked about standard IPOD connection Spoken to my local ICE shop and they want £130 for the interface..... Anyone know of a definative connection guide to the AUX input ? I noticed a thread for a Zetec Climate with a connector behind the Airbag, Does
