  1. Thanks Mastertech. The Ford Galaxy came bottom of the survey and I had one for three under the Motability Scheme. It was a joy to drive and own and never let me down once. I have Citroen C8 at the moment and whilst the electric sliding doors are a great and useful feature, the driving experience of the Galaxy is far better. Shame the new car is too expensive now and I do not need such a big car.
  2. Hi Mastertech I see you don;t liek the C-Max and I do like the S-max but no Auto is available. However, the many problems on this forum concern issues with the diesel variants. From your experience, does the petrol version have similar faults? Also in one your replies, you stated the C-max as " crap" - what are your main reasons for disliking the vehicle,... is it the faults like EGR etc or the car in general? Thanks
  3. Hello MasterTech I am a new to this site. I am a Motability customer and due to change my car shortly and have to order by the end of this week. I am considering the Auto 2.0 ghia auto but there seems to be little feedback... can you give m your thoughts on this vehicle please or shoudl I go for the Focus hatchback? Ar ethere any particular reasons why you not a 'fan' of the C-max? I do not do much mileage (6000 or so a year) and basically need a car that has easy access. The C-Max fits the bill but judging from your reply, somethng is not right at all.
  4. topgazza I am not sure what version they are testing. I will geta copy of WhatCar tomorrow (Aug edition) and hopefully find out. The problems on the forum seem to be, in general concerning diesel models - I am interested in the auto petrol box but their seems to be very little feedback from anywhere. My other choice was a renault Scenic but too many electronics to go wrong! Regards Tan
  5. Dissapointing rating for C-max on the latest JD survey. However is this for models prior to the software updates? Mastertech would appreciate your comments on this. Has the latest model ironed out many of the problems that people may have complained about in the survey? Also, I think we should also bear in mind that whilst there are 'unhappy' C-max owners out there, there are also many satisfied customers who may not have reported. I have not got a C-max (but thinking about auto version) and I have not been discouraged to buy one. Regards Tan
  6. Hi Kev is that urban driving or mixed. When you get about 19mpg, are you driving sportingly? Overall how do you find the auto box? thanks
  7. thank you!. I am really looking forward to the C-max in August when my present Motability car lease expires. I use to have a Galaxy and it was superb to drive. I only wished Ford were bringing out a S-Max auto but don;t see that happening for a few months.
  8. There appears to be customers who are not happy with the CVt auto transmission. Is the same transmission used in the auto 2.0 litre C-max? I thought it was a Durashift 4-speed.. or is that the same things as a CVT. Any known issues with this transmission. I test drove the C-max 2.0 litre.. it is so nice. Thank you
  9. I have checked the brochure and the C-max 2.0 litre is a Durashift 4-speed auto. Is this better than the CVT?
  10. Hi if anyoen has a auto petrol version, can you let me know of MPg figures and general reliability of the CVT auto box. Thanks
  11. Ford are doing some greta deals on this model on the Motability Scheme. I just need to know what MPG or other issues there might be with this car and especiallt the CVT auto box.
  12. Hello Can anyone enlighten me with practical MPG figures for a 2.0 litre auto? I test drove one which was brand new and the MPG on the computer did not go above 11mpg! Ok so I drove for only 15 minutes or so but with Diesel figures causing concern, I just wondered what petrol figures were like. Thanks
