  1. Theyve not offered any car, as they believe I should be paying for this. Over 2 weeks now and Ford Customer Service are still not in a position to resolve this. Not thought about Trading Standards- didnt think they would work. I think Roelant de Waard is the current Ford MD - I'll just call him up later if nothing happens.
  2. The car is at the garage now - it went in for its service. It's undriveable - no oil of course - Ford broke it - there's not a chance in hell I'm paying for this. Logged it with Ford Direct - been chasing every single day - and they are waiting for a fax from the garage with the service history - then it takes 48 hrs "to be scanned in" Well, that was a week and a half ago I logged it and been calling every single day - still nothing. No car - no progress - fekking useless.
  3. Anyone here ever had their sump plug threaded by the donuts at the Ford garage ? More than likely they've used an air gun to put it back on. Obviously, I dont want to pay the £250 they are demanding for a whole new sump.
  4. This didnt work for me. No chimes - nothing at all :-(
  5. Ok, so there's no real double din option for the c-max (focus, et al) So one option is to put in a Tom Tom Europe (25mm thickness) - but I'd need a blank piece of plastic to mould into a cradle - then the tomtom would be flush on the screen Are there any blank DIN plates for the c-max ? either single or prefereably double ? Thnx !
  6. Unless you've seen a standalone double din system for a reasonable price ?
  7. I cant stand having the portable units, it's too much grief - at least with a fixed you dont have to take it out all the time. It's neater, no dangly wires, etc, etc. I really think it's worth it. Having a fixed satnav in the other car for years means Im spoiled :-)
  8. There's a guy on ebay selling NAV units - see here Nav Unit eBay Now, Im assuming (as per my BMW which has a lot of this well documented) that additional parts will be required, such has wiring looms, antennae, etc. Is there a document that shows the Ford upgrade path (normally for the dealers) and the part numbers ? There is an ICE section on this site but it's a paid for section - and Im not paying if I dont know what in there :-) Class ? Anyone ? Thnx
  9. nobs ! bloody family car - id like to keep my wife and baby safe in the car...
  10. ONSLOWE What problems did you report back to them to get them to do the fix - especially as our chassis prob dont come under the TSB ... Thanks
  11. Anyway we can force the trip computer to always default or stay on the "Fuel Range" display ? Prob the only thing on the trip computer im interested in.
  12. Odd this - I asked for the dealer to enable the Auto Door lock (when you drive away) they reckon it cant be done. I'm quite suprised on a car this new with electric central locking - prob the first car in 10 years I have had that CANT do this ! Surely not ?
  13. Do a search for isofix on this forum. A few people havnt bothered putting the clips on, and with cloth seats have just pushed the side of the seat apart and managed to get the connectors in that way.
  14. Bought a Used C-Max 2.0TDCi - and it's a 53 plate with no EGR fix. Should I be pushing for this to be done ??
  15. I use AutoGlym on the 911. Seems to work quite nicely, but then I've kept it that way from new. Get some leather cleaner as well first, do that lightly. Then rub the normal stuff in.
