  1. NickWells, Before your vehicle went for repair did the handbrake automatically apply?? PH
  2. And press the START button to exit and lock the car!!! :!: :!:
  3. I wouldn't have thought that owning the CD would be a problem. It certainly helps you to fix/modify your vehicle successfully. Having good data available makes you a hapier Ford owner and would probably make you want to make your next vehicle a Ford. A bonus for Ford. What they do get niffed about, and do take action on, is the "Thieft of copyright" which takes place if you copy a CD/DVD and then flog it to make a profit. (EBAY sellers beware)
  4. The DVD version contains ALL the previous vehicles where as the older vehicles were dropped on later CD's because there was not enough space..
  5. 3M5T-14A073-BF Low spec BF (Bx level) Sorry. Not your lucky day........
  6. Chris, Check out the part number of your PJB. (Fusebox inside the car.) If it's a Dx suffix you may have a chance... I'll let you know as soon as I hear anything. PH
  7. Oil consumption will be higher than normal when the engine is new before it beds in. The 1.9 VW engine fitted to the Galaxy is well known for drinking a whole sump full before the first service and if it survives it's normally ok from then on.. My TDCi used a fair amount in the first 1500 miles but has used very little since. Anyway from Trafford H car park you don't have far to walk to buy some more oil do you??? (EF)
  8. The base of the Telephone aerial is larger in size.
  9. The DCU controls the following Windows Mirrors Locking Puddle Lamp Indicator Repeater For any of them to function the module must have been getting power.
  10. To "reprogram" the one shot features you have to open and close the window fully a couple of times holding the window switch fully depressed until the window reaches the end of its travel and then keep pressed for about a second more. This will let the window motor know the exact position of the window glass during normal operation. On the end of the window motor is a small magnet next to a sensor. The door control unit counts the pulses and calculates the glass position. This is so that if you put your fingers in the way of a closing windo it'll only nip you a little. As a safety feature
  11. Should be able to have it all fixed in about a month. New WDS CD will fix it. Or so i'm told!!
  12. True. The Galaxy does have an Aux Heater. But it's the Eberspacher Diesel one. The PTC heater is an electrical element located in the heater box on the C-MAX which is controlled by a PWM signal to regulate the power output. Draws a lot of umph! from the alternator.
  13. I beg to differ. The Galaxy is a VW and as far as I know bears no similarity to the C-MAX. The Galaxy does not have the PTC heater as fitted to the C-MAX. But both the vehicles do use a Diesel Aux heater made by Eberspacher.
  14. I believe that the only heater that is programmable is the Auxilliary Diesel Parking heater. (Fuel Fired Parking Heater) The PTC heater works only when the engine is running due to the amount of power it requires and suppliments the heat from the coolant during the warm up phase. PH
  15. It's got a good cleaning device. The windscreen wiper!!!
