  1. any seat can be made fit if your any good with a grinder and a welder the advantage of using geniune ford stuff is the air bags should be compatable but it would most likely have to modified
  2. i fitted 19's to my 1.8tdci and killed it, it was slow and the miles per gallon also dropped drastically......
  3. get some touch up pens, both black and a clear, fill the scratch in with black and let it dry, then top it off with some clear, once all is dry and hard get some 2000 wet sand paper and flatten it down, dont go mad, just enough to level out the surface, after this it will be all cloudy and hazy. get a rotor or an orbital posiher and using some compound buff the tailgate and get it back to a nice shine, finish off with some wax and no one will be any the wiser,
  4. why dont you try adding some dynamat or sound deadning to the boot floor to try and stop the vibrations....
  5. the condenser in the car needs to be cleaned, thats why it smells, ford have a process for doing this but im not sure if its under warrenty or not. you could always go in and conplain about it and see what they do but i know for the mk1 and 1.5 models ford required the car for 4 or so hours to run it completely.. also there is no point re gasing the system unless the aircon isnt working.... the smell isnt caused by the lack of gas????
  6. the 20 inch st rims were made initially by ford racing in the usa. the ones on ebay are copies.
  7. well i think your mad in the head cutting in to a loom on the assumption that both are the same!! i would suggest, if you havent already, get the wiring diagrams for both the ST and your TITANIUM. i had them for my MP3 and they were invaluable. you can buy the TIS on ebay. why not look and see if the gauges can be wired up the same as aftermarket gauges would be. if they cant why not butcher the pod and fit aftermarket gauges to it? or leave it to an autospark.
  8. toyos are totally usless in the wet as the compound doesn't heat up enough apparently, if you can go for dunlops or uniroyals they arent too bad but there will always be a trade off between traction and economy. and dont be so hard on the nankangs, i had the ultra version on my 1.8tdci and i had no problems with them at all good grip and handling.
  9. i'll come over if you let me camp out on your lawn!!!!
  10. sorry to nit pic but its 5 bolts and two clips.first thing you should do is remove the brake light and disconnect the wire, you should pop off the clips at either side of the spoiler where it meets the glass, then open the boot and remove the trim panel thats at the top of the window. then remove the five bolts the whole way across. my old black part actually split in two at this point when i tried to pull it off due to the way it was clipped and the manor in which it was pulled. once its off you just disconnect the washer pipe and completely remove the old spoiler. fitting the new one was a b
  11. i think the problem is ford wont give them permission to make a manual!!!
  12. anyone one want one of these? you pay the postage and i'll send it in your direction. it was in my focus for nearly a year, but its as good as new and better yet it almost free. i hate throwing stuff in the bin. so gimmie a shout.
  13. after 11 months of not being quite satisfied with my 1.8TDCi for one reason or another i finally decided to get rid of it and bought a very nice seat leon fr. it reminds me of my old mp3 focus to be honest good car all over and i will not miss my badly built noisy and underperfoming focus one bit.
