  1. Only compare them once.. unlike my above posts! I think my browser is having a fit!
  2. maybe it's worth comparing your VIN numbers? From that you can get the country of origin and what factory the cars were made. Maybe the clue is in where the car was made rather than the specific model of car. Just a thought...

  4. ooo park assist... how easy is that to get fitted? How much would a dealer want to do it?
  5. Well, I am picking the car up in a fortnight. It's a Ghia! 2.0 TDCi 07 plate registered March 2007 3600 Miles 5 Dr hatchback Panther Black £12,500 Not bad as the ford garage wanted about £18,500 for a new one! a saving really of nearly 6 grand! What do you think?
  6. that sounds like a really good deal!
  7. OK, what if I get a Mk2 without the advanced bluetooth kit.. how difficult / expensive is it to fit? Is it something i can do?
  8. Cheers mate, I knew it was worth more than £3300!
  9. Thanks for clarifying! You are right, I have just got back from the ford garage and just saw a 56 reg that had the upgrades from the early model. While I was there I thought I'd get my old focus valued for part-ex. They said they'd offer me £3300 for it... It's a 2002 (52 reg) 1.6i Zetec in panther black with 56000 on the clock - loads of extras in it too. What a joke! I reckon I can get at least £4500 / £5000 for it!
  10. OK, just got my head around it. It seems there are 3 versions (from the brochures I have) I am going to explain using the Focus ghia as an example. There are the models that were first released in 2005/2006 and then in 2007 things have changed twice. 2005/2006 - ghia models have NO mirror mounted indicators, and they came with the crappy stereo's fitted as standard - not the nice shiney sony one (sorry don't know the stereo model numbers) Prior May 2007 - ghia models have mirror mounted side indicators and the nice sony stereo is fitted as standard, they also list "body colour fog lig
  11. I am more confused today after spending some time looking at the pros and cons between a ghia and titanium. It seems more difficult by the fact that ford have release a few different versions of the cars. Some things I am using as a guide is the registration year of the car, type of stereo in the car and whether the car has mirror mounted side repeaters as these only seem to be available on later models. How much am I willing to spend depends on the car... I would spend up to £12,500 but it'd need to have low milage, be a colour I like and be one of the later models of cars... not much,
  12. Well, the ghia has everything except: 16" 5 spoke alloys (I can put those on myself) Sports Style front seats (I can put in the full set of leather if needed) Privacy Glass (umm.. tinted windows?) Three spoke leather-trimmed steering wheel (the ghia has 4 spoke leather steering wheel with cruise control buttons) Technically styled centre stack (a what?!) Apart from that... what else does the titanium have apart from NO CRUISE CONTROL? Just what does the titanium offer? I was also told that some of the 2005 models of titanium have god awful blue interiors? is this true?
  13. I am after a 5 door hatchback.. so that's ok really. I prefer the titanium as a model but i think the ghia will be a better first choice as I can mod it to titanium specs and KEEP the cruise control.
  14. But the ghia gives auto headlights / wipers, auto dipping mirror. Cruise control might be the deciding factor, as I can easily add leather seats / stereo (although the ghia I am looking at has the sony MP3 stereo in) surely I'm best off getting the ghia for the extras and then add the titanium stuff to it?
  15. If I am going to get a used Mk2 which one should I go for? A ghia? or titanium? It'll probably be a 2005 model so keep that in mind ;) I was thinking that I should go for a ghia and make changes to it so I get cruise control.. then just change the alloys etc... What do you guys think?
  16. ok, 113 per unit might put me off, just out of interest how much is a standard wing mirror? (both with and without the indicator?)
  17. Just wondering if these are available on the Mk2 focus? Must be the same style as the factory fitted ones not forgetting that some models of Mk2 have indicators on the mirrors. Can anyone advise?
  18. Ahhh so they actually changed the dash colour lights between the models too? Old one being green, new one being orangey/red?
  19. Thanks for the update mate, maybe someone else can confirm 100% about the surround. Cheers again.
  20. Can anyone help with explaining the following? I picked up a Ford Focus brochure from the dealers the other day and thought to myself "that's a nice looking stereo and climate control, I don't remember seeing that before!" Look on PAGE 9 of each of these official brochures and please explain why they're different and why - can the new one be fitted into an old dash? Brochure 1 Brochure 2 Cheers!
  21. Can any factory Mk2 stereo be fitted into a Mk2? Say.. if I had the Sony Single CD MP3 player, could I put in the 6CD/MP3 changer? Ohh yeah.. and if I had the bluetooth pack installed would that still work if I change the stereo? Thanks for any advice!
  22. This is something I am going to do next weekend hopefully. I have a TomTom ONE and I bought a brodit proclip and a TomTom ONE Active Holder. What I have to install have to wire it up and find out how to get the wires out the way..
