Tyres - one of THE most important parts of a car, if not the most important. My personal opinion is Always buy good quality and never buy budgets!! They stop you in an emergency, stop you from aquaplaning along roads with bad drainage... and winter is coming and you'll need grip even more! One accident and you'll fork out the cost of the tyres on your yearly insurance premium for the next 3 years... Look out for places doing offers on tyres you can normally buy 3 get one free! (or 25% off when you buy 4) :)

I mean the LCD display inbetween the speedometer and rev counter in the dials of the dash. I made a video of me getting to the BT enabled bit of the stereo by going through the menus: http://s287.photobucket.com/albums/ll14 ... CT0494.mp4 I think pressing 1 + 6 on the stereo gives you the firmware version of the unit.

Does the dashboard say "Listening Mode" or similar? and have you checked to ensure that the sony unit has BT enabled in the menu?

Is that the same FINIS for the Mk2 as the MK2.5?

I nearly did this, but a house move kinda stopped me doing anything to my car. I managed to get the passenger side door mirror, relay, and switch - I'll be selling them on ebay as soon as I find them, but if you want them pm an offer.

Yet the boot remains unlocked even if you setup the car to only unlock the drivers door with the key. I am surprised thieves don't target the Focus at traffic lights more often with this "flaw".

all in the manual mate. 60 and 61 is dipped - 4th and 5th fuse from the right of the middle row. hope this helps.

I have noticed my clutch pedal seems to give a "PING" or "CLICK" sound on the way back up... Any idea what that is? Is it a spring? or the switch for my cruise control?

That's interesting, but I bet the levellers don't work and your internal leveller control has been rendered useless / pointless :P So basically, if you decide to pick your mates up and they get in the back of your car.. you will be dazzling on-coming cars - just pray they are not coppers :)

get a Ghia! U can't retro-fit cruise control easily... everything else on the titanium u can :)

Mne started to do this last week, turned out they were dirty. Get 2 damp cotton buds and go round the inside of the sensors getting all the bits out. As soon as I did this the "constant tone" stopped and all is good again. Give it a go, it might work for you! REV, what do the factory ones sound / behave like?

One thing that always sticks in my mind when I read about remote start is the thing that's in some new car manuals: NEVER IDLE A CAR TO WARM IT UP! Don't ask me why...

the ST I was looking at in the showroom only had interior brightness control and interestingly NO AUTO HEADLIGHT setting. Do they do xenons from factory with auto switch on/off?

Well, here's what it says in the manual about headlamp washers: and for those who can't see it:

I love what you did to get the washers working Dave, but I just don't want to put them in like that on my car for the reasons you state. The washers only really need to work if the lights are on not everytime. I will have a very close look at the wiring diagram and see if there is a way of getting it done to factory standards. I'll let you know what I find out.
