  1. Thanks for all the replies. I think I will be looking at a 2.0 TDCI eventually.
  2. Cheers for the replies. Sounds like its worth me going down the diesel route with the miles I do, I've driven the 1.6 TDCI recently and although a nice drive it felt a bit underpowered. And I only drove it for about 20 minutes. Can anybody comment on cabin noise? My Zetec is quite loud at motorway speeds, which could be the budget tyres it has on. However my uncle has a 2000 Focus Ghia, and it is noticeably quieter so I'm assuming the Ghias must have more cabin insulation.
  3. No problems, think if I could get one next year that is say 3 years old I'd get the door cars out and chuck loads of cavity wax in there. Sounds like better econony than my 1.8 zetec anyway!
  4. Hi there, I currently drive a 2000 W reg 1.8 Zetec hatchback. I quite like my Mk1 Focus, parts are cheap its been reliable (I've only had to replace wear and tear items like the thermostat seal, ignition leads and coil pack) and its cheap to insure. I also quite like how it drives. However I do up to 20k miles per year, so I'm thinking either a 2.0 TDCI or 2.0 petrol Mk2. My current Focus is approaching mega miles. What is the bodywork like on the Mk2's? On my focus the bottoms of the doors are rusting a bit, something to sort next year I guess! Crazy considering my last car, a 1998 Hon
