  1. Hi CharlieR Thanks for replying. With it having gone through the laquer/clearcoat, there is nothing that can sort it out apart from a respray and as the Motability chap at Ford said to leave it, thats what we are going to do. Thanks again Catherine
  2. Hi Andy Me and hubby took the car to Ford today and had a chat with the Motability guy and he said to leave it, the car as it is would pass the final inspection with that mark, so not to worry. Thanks for your help. :-) Catherine
  3. Thanks for that Andy, I have emailed them to find out if there is a local one to us. Is there anything we can do to repair the laquer without having to paying for a respray? *fingers crossed* Another question is it possible to get a spray in that exact colour and lightly spray the area covering the ring and chip, or is that not possible or would make a mess? Thanks Catherine
  4. Hiya I have a 07 CMax on Motability, last week a kid local to us threw a stone at another kid, but it missed and hit the back of the car. We spoke to the dealer we got the car from, and also to the repair centre for Ford and they said they wouldnt touch it as it was so small, Motability have said its logged as a chip/mark on the back of the car, but no claim is in. They said we can repair it ourselves if we want. Spoke to Halfords who said it could be polished out, so hubby bought a polishing disc for the adapter on his drill, and attempted to polish the chip out. Unfortunately it didnt
  5. Well MPG is picking up for us, managing to get about 33 to 35mpg now, better than the 20s we managed at first. Catherine
  6. We have done a few long runs out now, and the trip computer is still only showing 24 mpg. But we have been given an Excel spreadsheet that you input how much £ wise you have put in last time, and how many miles you have done before you zeroed the trip and it shows we have done 35mpg. (if anyone is interested in the spreadsheet let me know). We put £10 in last time and did 78.9 miles before we put more petrol in, and zeroed the trip which is what we were told to do. Im well confused and Ford were not helpful at all, they had no idea. Catherine
  7. Hiya Im Terminators OH, when we further checked how much petrol had been bought and how many miles we had done, it worked out about 25 - 26 mpg, which I dont think is too bad for just round town driving. Its an ace car, and I love it, its very nippy and sticks to the road well on corners. :D :D Catherine xx
