  1. I have read the posts about slipping the clutch and that causing the smell but I am particularly interested in the comments the dealer made about alterations to the clutch casing that have caused some type of smell to enter the car. Anyone know about that aspect?
  2. A couple of weeks ago, whilst doing quite a few hill starts (although nothing too difficult for the car) a terrible smell came into the car, it didnt smell like burning it was just revolting, it was so bad that over the next week or so I could hardly bear to get into the car, the kids refused...anyway I took it to the ford dealer who checked it, no leaks, clutch appeared ok. The dealer then told me that there had been a problem with some clutches when Ford had changed the cover to lead free or something? apparently Ford are looking into this. I am due to ring Ford this week to discuss it but
